@Maera Imrov - This is not a bad idea. Kudos. There was a Thane website being developed a few months back (sadly I have forgotten if it was Saodade or Serenade22 that was putting it together). Perhaps if they are still lurking about, maybe looking into something like this would be nice.

A good example could also be made of the FemShep group. They started their own site where they could continue posting their f!Shep screenies, and discussing their RPing choices, among other things. Then again, many have expressed that they intend to move on and away from ME as a whole, so...*shrug*.

I am however going to continue to stay away from that thread....horse.dead.beaten. My heart felt thoughts go to @john-in-france for attempting a Thane thread in the hostile enviroment that is the Story and Campaign section of the BSN.

Maera - Hrm, now I'm intrigued to try TOR, as long as it's FTP, I figure why not. Getting tired of Skyrim. But that's because I'm a completionist. I'm level 61 there, have most of the map explored, and still barely touched the main quest line. Or maybe that means I'm easily distracted.

Well, like Thraz has pointed out, there's some absolutely derpy, typical EA restrictions on the totally free players. Helmet hiding, etc. Good news is, the majority of the cosmetic stuff like that might cost a whole $20 to unlock, or thereabouts if it truly bothered you. That's helmets, color matching, title display. If some of the above doesn't interest you, it gets even cheaper. I sub, so none of that's an issue for me, but yeah.

I've been playing a lot of Skyrim lately, too. Got behind on the DLCs, so I caught up on all those and finished them. I did most of the various factions in other, vanilla play throughs shortly after the game came out, so I actually started getting bored around level 39. If only someone would make a companion mod like Kateri did for Morrowind, I'd be fine. Julan was an awesome companion, and was male for once! A decently written male romance companion mod. So very rare, most of them are Ridiculously OTT 'sexy' Female Companion #212343459086. But alas, the only mod that seems remotely in that vein for Skyrim was only in alpha or beta stages and hasn't had an update in months. I fear it might be dead. Meh, might need to just go back to Morrowind and Julan for a while.

Anywho, I think if we did go the separate forum route, we shouldn't post the link publicly here on BSN. Other places are probably fine, but frankly I don't want the chance that the haters and trolls from this site might follow us. Whoever sets it up/has admin rights/whatever should post that we can PM them for the link, that way we can gather the most of us from here, and go from there.

Of all the people in that thread Ren gets banned? There were trolls in there saying GOD awful stuff and they ban Ren? BioWare have just now came 3rd place on my crap list right next to the ol Bin Laden,he is tied with Hitler....

Regarding another website, I think I might want to pick up the gauntlet and create a site and forum for you guys (and others) to visit. I have an idea, mostly spurred on by what's happened in the past week. I just need to think up a name.

When I get stuff setup I'll post it to the FB and PM.

In the interest of full disclosure, I went and picked up a cheap copy of ME3 for PC. I was (and still am) ticked off about things, but I wanted to do some for science run throughs. I want to compare the experience of femShep compared to broShep for this DLC.

I need a place to put everything, so I got an idea about a site. I'm going to go brainstorm and hopefully have something up by Tuesday.

Our own forum would be nice, but I wonder how many of us are still going to be around.
Eventually we will all move on.
It would be better than dealing with the trolls from bsn.

Haha, I'll keep the signature then since it seems acceptable. xD

I'm all up for making a Thane group elsewhere or.. just a femshep one, whichever. So we can still make our point and remind people, without getting trolled and bullied. On our own site we'd have our OWN rules and we can go off topic as much as we like. xD I suppose groups on BSN is the same thing but... at the same time not.

And Skyrim, oh Skyrim, my sanctuary and fanfic maker. I like Bethesda a lot, even if their idea of giving Microsoft the rights to the dlc the first, seems a bit... stupid. But I've spent 610 hours in Skyrim (since 2011 and probably 20-30 restarts) DON'T JUDGE ME! And frankly, I need a new game baaaadly.

HotS will only entertain me for so long. I wan't a new rpg game... and those are so few.

So Skyrim it is! So I can stalk Teldryn.

I don't think it even has to necessarily be ME/Thane centric. Certainly it could have that overvibe, but I see no reason why we can't also just have sections for gaming in general, or other generic topics. Essentially a place to hang out as friends, and not just Thane fans, if that makes any sense? Cuz you're all pretty cool, and just chatting with nice people is fun, even if our ME fight is over.

...And ****ing about the lack of Julan-esque mods in Skyrim has made me want to resurrect a mod project I once started. No. NO. I haven't the patience, muse, gtfo and go home. Go think up something for my fanfiction.

I think Dineboo was asking that question rhetorically.  Her following sentence reads like the answer to said question (regarding why she is thinking of putting a website together).

All for another forum for us, too, somewhere we can actually talk freely, since it seems here, anyone expressing an opinion that rubs whoever official reads it the wrong way can be banned, whereas the trolls roam around freely!:/

After that... sitting and waiting on DA3 and hope it's not screwed up.

I am so looking forward to HoTS.  I'm terrible at RTS MP, but my boyfriend always appreciates the achievement points I get playing the SP for him   And I'm in love with Skyrim, though I just finished Spec Ops: The Line.  Short plug for that game's killer story and sheer balls in deconstructing its own genre, but damn if it wasn't the most depressing thing I've played in a while.

As for the separate forum, I vote for "Ridges."   At this point, it's just a hangout for those of us who have met here on the Interbutts.  There's no point in taking the ill feelings from BSN with us.
