As much as I like this idea, what really irritates me is that BW would really rather have us gone at this point, so in one way, we are doing them a favor.
Also, we should welcome all decent character/LI fans, imo. It could be the new Character & Romance forum...by invite only. No trolls allowed and people get banned for being jerkfaces.
The other thing that bothers me is this -- I was talking to Coldi about it earlier:
--BioWare would have lost nothing by providing an option for Thane in this DLC. While there would be folks out there who would disagree, these people would in all likelihood still purchase the DLC -- and, they wouldn't see the troublesome content anyway. They would still make the choice that he would die.
--However, by NOT providing an option, BW has screwed themselves out of profits, because those of us who really care about his character will not purchase the DLC, because it still gives us no reason to play the game.
At this point it seems that they are just doing it to keep claiming artistic integrity and spite us. They don't even want our money at this point. If they did, they would have listened and implemented an option.
That's how it feels to me, anyway.
