Firstly, could someone please PM me the link to DineBoo's forum?
I did PM DineBoo but my message may have gone unnoticed.
I played the DLC (mostly) with a Thanemancing Shepard and I just need to get things out of my chest but I don't want to write too many spoilers here, so..... And I should be sleeping anyway but I don't know if I'll be able because, well, the DLC got me kind of emotional for various reasons. >.< And now I found out about some Thane content I missed so I will have to finish playing it tomorrow and.... *sigh* I just want to be done with this DLC and return to my headcanons.

I finally watched the romanced Thane videos. I had two emotions. They made me sad, in a way that the memorial didn't. I really felt sad that they were kept apart at the end of his life. And that made me mad. Super mad at the Alliance. In my first, and pretty much only, playthrough, I didn't do Arrival. So in my mind, there was absolutely zero reason for the Alliance to keep Shepard locked up for 6 months. Because she what? Collaborated with Cerberus? Yeah, it's been accused of terrorist acts, but like all good corporations, it knows how to ply plausible deniability. Besides, she had her Specter status in ME2, so she can pretty much do what she wants with whomever she wants.
So first of all, I can't see my Shepard ever, ever submitting to house arrest by the Alliance. Second, after seeing those videos, my Shep would have marched into Anderson's and Hackett's office and raised holy hell. And probably been tempted to tell them all they could burn in hell, and earth and the Alliance would be the last people she would ever help against the Reapers.
I don't know. Yeah, BW listened to the fans, and this DLC is pure fan service. But they just wrote themselves into a corner with Thane and refused to put forth the effort to actually give him a cure or life extension, wanting to stick to their artistic vision, and probably because they knew that Thanemancers were a relatively small percentage of the gamer fans. Sucks.

Hugs to all that have watched the YT vids, and/or played the DLC. You all are much braver than I.
As for my "tin snippers", FOUND THEM!! XD
Must have vino, workbench mounted vice, channel locks, tin snippers, and a foot of 1 inch galvanized pipe. HAHAHAH.....Ooohhh! And I plan to add my little epoxy model of a passed out PDS, to said art piece. She will finally have a purpose, since I think we have safely abandoned the ME/Thanecentric Monopoly (for those that don't remember, I made a model of PDS intended to be a game piece for the monopoly set).
I will take pictures as soon as I have the basic "design" started.

@Askeebe...Wow, I think Coldi and I were having that same discussion last night. I want to shoot Hackett in the stomach, so he slowly bleeds out. I want him to suffer. And I don't care about the apartment on the Citadel. Anderson sold me out as much as Hackett did, but at least Anderson was mostly upfront with me. Hackett's whole save my friend then throw me under bus routine really pissed me off. I like Liara more than Anderson and Hackett. Jerks. Sadly, I like all three more that buttware or EA.

I want to put everyone in the game through a meat grinder. Can I side with the Reapers? Actually, no I don't want to side with the Reapers. I want to side with the Yagh. That's it! They're awesome and have great teeth!
Team Yagh FTW!

It's bad if when you like Liara or a Yagh more.
I was pretty sick of the Alliance after ME3 anyway. Knowing they are the main reason that Shepard didn't get Thane's messages makes it even worse. We really should have had the option to quit and tell them all where to go.

If I was in Sheps shoes I would tell them to go to hell...would have been great to have that option in the game
But hey at least in our own head cannon we can do whatever we want with Shep and Thane ^^
TEAM YAHG!!!!!!! ;D

I feel ya, lady.
1) We come up with our own idea on how this story goes down (after the events of ME2). I have started putting together some story ideas and dialogue. This might be good to get some ideas/input.
2) @giftfish and I have chatted about having someone (in the know) do something in game similar to what the MEHEM did. I know she has posed a few questions to @Sable Rhapsody, and she has plans to eventually pose a few more to Mr. Fob (after the completion of the latest installment). I think this is something for us to consider.
Here is how I see it: For those that like what was given (i.e. Thane fans that simply wanted more closure for what was presented in game, the DLC gives it to them). For the rest of us, the two suggestions above, may give us a chance to close out the chapters of OUR Shepards. If anyone is interested in following this up, let me know. I am writing regardless, but I have "zero" clue on the mod stuff.
I am all for taking matters into my own hand, and yes.....this bravado is slightly born of booze, but wuteva!
Vive Le Thane!

Also, wanna talk about Hackett while you're boozing it? That's gotta be something for the story books!

Yep, I think that sums it up.LoonySpectre wrote...The main problem with Thane's content in Citadel is that it's too little and WAY too late.
Hey everyone, I haven't been around in a while thanks to our good friend 'real life'… but some of you may still remember me, haha. Nonetheless, I wanted to finally bop in and send hugs to everyone. I guess there isn't much to be said at this point. I wish things had turned out differently. ME3 still stands as a great disappointment for me, but that can't diminish all the fun we had discussing ME2 and dreaming up what might have been with ME3.
As far as the DLC goes, I'm certainly not going to spend any more money on Thane content that I feel should have been included in the game itself. Besides, I haven't picked up ME3 since my one and only playthrough almost a year ago. I still find it almost unbelievable what a let down 3 turned out to be ... all after I played ME and ME2 so many times that I truly lost count.
It cracked me up that many of you have talked about making 'expressive art' out of your ME3 discs… maybe I will do the same, now that I know it is over. Has anyone actually done it? Are there pictures?
Anyways, lots of love to each and every one of you, Thane fans. <3
So happy to see you, Tentura!! *late tacklehug*
ME3 is still a huge disappointment, even with this DLC. I'm a bit torn-I'm glad BW at least included Thane in this DLC, took the time to have the VA's (and Keythe of course <3) record some new content pertaining to Thane, and finally semi-acknowledge the romance (doubt we get the paramour achievement though?) and his death. Some people will say better late than never...but I say it's a year too late. Why are we suddenly throwing Thane a funeral now, talking with Kolyat now? I just can't believe they didn't spend a little more time on this stuff, why it had to be a DLC. I remember when DLC for Mass Effect were for new characters and missions.
When I'm feeling really bitter I just think...Shepard dies and no one gets their happy ending with their LI

@Disc0nnect7 - LOL...on the "bitter" statement. *smirk*
@mnomaha - yes.....? Wanna smasha da Hackett's face, ya say?? LOL. I just started on dialogue between Thane and Shepard regarding taking the "Arrival" mission for Hackett.
I should explain my plan, at the very least. Bare with me, and hopefully you will understand why I plan to do, as I do.
I intend to "loosely" base my version of events AFTER ME2, on what happened in me3. I really do mean loosely though. My reasons behind this are 1) there is already a very well done fanfic (Shrios to boot) that has done an excellent job of giving us a truly different storyline (this of course, would be 'ThirtySix Stratagems of Wang Jingze')...2) there are a number of people who have played through me3 and have a hard time "unseeing" what they have already seen. Even though I didn't complete the game (and trust me, that helps), I too have a hard time unseeing some of what I have seen. Besides, spending a year on the boards after me3, has made me privy to nearly everything in this game.
So, even though I intend to loosely base the storyline on what was given us in me3, it will still have differences. And in some cases, major differences. Hopefully this makes sense, and I hope I can bother a few of you fantabulous drellickers to helping me with parts I didn't play (in the third game). Again, this will be a different take on events, but some semblence will remain just to help with the whole "can't unsee what I've seen" stuff....

Saw it on the thread. Can someone email me an url ?
PS: ME3 ? What is that of which you speak ?
PPS: I got the DLC because it will be an easy way to mod the game and add tons of Thane posters to that drab apartment. Besides, I think I can hack the main game so Sheppard gets those 3 videos before meeting him on huearta, as she should

@mnomaha: *glomps back* Oh, you! Of course I've missed you too.
@Coldi: Sounds like your ME3 disc art project will be highly therapeutic.
@disc0nnect7: Hey luv! Yeah, I agree. It's just not gonna cut it for me. It definitely would have been much worse to not include Thane at all. But is that really the baseline we should be using? I just don't think so. I still feel like every fan - regardless of their choice of LI or the sex of their Shep - should have been given reasonably fair treatment. Otherwise, one can't come away without the feeling that they 'chose wrong.'
Hm, I haven't heard whether the Paramour cheevo is unlocked now, I wonder if they thought of that? Does anyone know?

Yup, I am derlurked
I'd like to know about getting the Paramour cheevo too, though I doubt it. Bioware is so done with Thane by now. Did Jacob even get any content in this DLC? They've really jumped ship on him.
Off-topic, I'm watching The Avengers for the first time and all I can say is...Tom Hiddleston is one fine man. I want to touch the pretty

Thank you for those three of you who sent me a PM!
Love you guys.
I just registered on the forum.
I didn't sleep well and when I woke up I was still shocked about what we got in the DLC lol and I need to go to school soon, but after that I'll be venting in that forum (which has a cool name!) like there is no tomorrow.
About modding the game, I'd be very happy if someone made a "Thane stays alive" mod even though I play on PS3. To know such a mod exists would give me some kind of peace of mind.
