@coldi  I totally understand your view on this,  taking this dlc as an olive branch is a choice, but I'm probably being more generous than I should be.  *hugs and many large rum and cokes with lime*

Hey, I'm in the same boat :)

Well, if they actually thought they had done wrong, I think they would have changed the endings instead of claiming 'artistic integrity'.

TBH I think with the EC, Javik, and Leviathan, the original endings hold up ok.  I think it's unfortunate that it took so much work just to get the main plot to a point where it doesn't make my brain explode, but I'm ok with them trying to improve upon it instead of scrapping it altogether.  I think they understood they were wrong in the presentation of the main plot, and tried to patch it up.  To be fair, I also grabbed MEHEM, but that's partially me not wanting to spend money on Javik and Leviathan.

Ah, well... I never played EC or Leviathan and I never took Javik on any missions. So I don't know how any of that fits in with the endings. But I don't think I'll ever get over the 'organics creating synthetics to wipe out organics to stop them from being taken out by synthetics' part. And I play on Xbox, so MEHEM isn't an option. I won't be playing through the game anymore anyway, so it doesn't matter now!

Edit: Glad you're back myth! We missed you!

It's worth at least watching on YouTube.  I'll never say the Reaper plot in ME3 was GOOD, but all the DLC makes it at least plausible.

Maybe... but I worry I will still get annoyed/frustrated all over again. At least now I've distanced myself from it enough that it doesn't bother me so much. If the Thane content had been fixed, I'd probably have just played through the until after Cronos Station and left it at that.

I actually just came across an interesting article (though, old one) regarding the writing of the ending.

Edit: needed to fix the link.

A year later, most of my frustrations with ME3 are definitely duller.  Still present (seriously, wtf journal system), but it doesn't drive me up the wall the way it did a year ago.

IMO Javik and Leviathan give crucial foreshadowing and plot context to the Catalyst, which previously had exactly zero of either.  And the EC adds a lot of dialogue to the Catalyst explaining its reasoning, as well as some closure in the slides and memorial scenes.  It's more like a salvage effort than an actual fix, but IMO it was at least a decent try.

Well, I shall keep that in mind if I ever decide to play through the game again (which is unlikely). At the moment, I can't even bring myself to watch the Citadel DLC!

Well, what did I miss? mnomaha said "my disappearance was being questioned." Sounded onimous! Thought I should pop back before something happened.

Also, I have bought and downloaded all the dlc. I didn't want to, but I couldn't not play the Cit DLC, considering everything. And frankly if I have to play through ME3 I'm gonna bloody well play through a complete game, because we all know ME3 is barely half finished without it, even IF everyone had been saved and all was la di da di da at the teddy bear's picnic.

Also, Thane wanted to say to everyone he has visited that he enjoyed staying with you all, and he misses you. It's been raining almost non stop here so our Whitsunday's cruise has been put on hold til TC Sandra decides what's she's doing (I've got dibs on her intensifying to a Cat 5 and crossing the coast near me again this year), but next time we go to Townsville we're going to try to go to the Museum of Tropical North QLD. There was a study a few years ago that said that the Crown of Thorns Starfish poison could help battle cancer. Never know, it might turn out to be something.

He has also forbidden me to practice anywhere near him, so whenever I get violin Thane out he goes away and spends the time chatting to my Plushie Thane. Shame for him I have to learn Pachelbel's Canon in D by the beginning of April then, isn't it? :P

@Myth
I thought you might have been banned.
We were wondering where you were. Some are trying to decide where the plushie and other projects should go.
Not to BW. Maybe to Keythe or Chris.

There were Legion plushies kicking around deviantArt a while back. I don't think any more are being made, which makes me sad. Plushie geth FTW.

You probably wouldn't get banned if you posted it here. It's not like the devs check the old forums anymore.
