First off thanks everyone for your tips and Justified got worse it went full on Thane, nobody mentions Colt in the last episode of the season except a lame reference from the dudes who killed him, plus his best friend don't even grieve for him. GRRHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAa IT WAS BAD WRITING ALL OF IT HIS DEATH THE AFTER MATH!!! ALL OF IT BAD WRITING!!

It was my very own Thane, I am here by deeming this thread the grief consoling thread, for poorly written character deaths.

I don't think I'll ever get over Colt being killed like that.

Heheheheheh Coldi your pc gaming problems remind me why I'm not a PC gamer, nope no mod could get me to attempt to play on a pc again, last time I tried it it didn't work well. I'll stick with my Xbox and PS3.

I haven't been to the new forum in ages, plus I've got a very full work load at the moment, my fics, raging over Justified and bad writing that killed Colt , wiritng Samara dialogue for a re-writing of ME3 group here on BSN, getting sucked into Boardwalk Empire, writing my fics, and dealing with family BS. Not that I'd be any help with the Thane mod, most I could do is offer advice and insight into a Friend Thane, which I'd be willing to do.

Side note, I'm looking forward to ME4 hahahahaahahahahahahahahahahaha

I made you Overlord in training (which is not coming up on the forum for some reason) so you can edit and monitor that section of the forum just in case rifraff gets through. Plus you've organized a ton of stuff.

I need a name for the Mods. Sidekicks? Henchmen? Henchpeople?

I'm still taking suggestions. Post here or on the forums!

Lots of modifcation to the ThaneMod threads now that we are in our own section of the forum.

Also, put together a basic post on "What is ThaneMod"....sort of a FAQ of sorts in preparation for when we release.

Sheesh, your site seems secure to me, DineBoo. I took me over a week to get logged in after a password reset. Mainly because I'd try it, it wouldn't work, try it again, then I'd have to wait 15 minutes, and then I'd forget and wander away for a day. Rinse and repeat. But I'm finally logged back in. Yay!

Public in the way that you can freely shrare the web addy with anyone. Sure people can find it if they tried, but the spam issues come from bots and the like. No real person, other than the ones here, has found the site I think.

BioWare continue to fan the flames of my ire.

A friend of mine got the genesis comic and I found out you can't romance Thane. FemShep can romance Garrus, Jacob or stay single.

I know Thane's romance (if it can even be called that) was utterly trashed in ME3 but the fact that they don't present it as an option in the comic does not sit well with me. It deepens the feeling I get that they feel his romance was a mistake, never should have happened, etc.

Jacob's ME3 romance was an utter mess as well but he's still an option in the comic. Is there something I missed? I made sure to choose the option that keeps the squad alive (at the expense of the crew - Chakwas, Kelly and the rest). Thane survived the SM so that can't be the reason he didn't appear as an option.

This is just really bugging me.

Yeah that make's no sense that Jacob could be romanced but not Thane.

I would have just cut JAcob out just to spare people the heartache.

Someone on the story forum made this point: With Broshep you had women (and men come ME3) letting him know they were intereseted in him. From Liara to Gianna.

With femShep she had to make all the moves, and when she does the answer is "I had no idea!" I know this is true with Garrus, but this even filters down with interactions with male NPCs.

Was there no guys out there that found femShep attractive? No one willing to put themselves out there? I know they say Kaidan can initiate, and Thane with is Siha, but it seems like femShep had to make a ton more effort than broShep.

I might pull this over to the other forum.

You can always trust BW to add insult to injury.

On a more positive note, We've put up a revised version of the Huerta dialogue on the forums. Go check it out and tell us what you think. The sooner we get it finalized, the sooner the tech folks can get to work on that part of the project :]

Also, second romance email I'm guessing will be up later today or early tomorrow. Third should come along shortly thereafter. Main body is done for all of them, just wrapping up the conditional variations.

Yep, I just checked the Genesis 2 .tlk file, and no option for Thane. There is no option for Jack either.

Kaidan is (almost) the exception in ME1 as he kinda expresses an interest in Shep before she does. I'm thinking of that scene on the Citadel in ME1; where you look out at the view from the wards, the cutscene with this convo:

Shepard: "Why wouldn't they [aliens] like us? According to the old vids we have everything they want, oceans, beautiful women....

I shouldn't be surprised that BW would do something like that.

It's true that femshep seems to initiate most of the romances while mShep has women throwing themselves at him.

I didn't feel that femShep had to do that with Thane. She does flirt with him first and it takes him a couple of seconds to get it, but that's about it.

She does do most of the work with Garrus, but I understand that. BW went overboard when it came to Jacob. Kaidan can be indecisive so you have to push a bit there too.

It always felt BW was giving femShep players who played her straight a big fat middle finger.

Want Joker? LOL He doesn't want to break regs (WTF?) and goes after a sex bot.
Want Vega? LOL you have to get him drunk first and make him super uncomfortable. Plus you have to buy a DLC for it.
Want Javik? LOL He'll only sleep with you after a drunken party.

It's like they want to punish people who want to have more options for femShep. Straight options. I know I lot of people wanted Joker, people were disapointed they couldn't romance Vega, and I know I would have romanced Javik for the empire.

But BW "You will like our choices for you and if not here a troll sandwich." If they didn't want to deal with Joker, JAmes, or Javik, why put the option in there at all for players to persue? It's like they wanted things to be painful for femShep players.

BroShep? Men and women throwing themselves at you. And no painful hookups or turn downs if the choice is presented.

UGH! Rain, rain and bloody rain. I even travelled 1800km south to the Gold Coast with the Travelling Plushie to escape the rain and get photos, and it bloody well followed me! It follows me to Townsville, it follows me to Airlie, it hasn't left here at home at all since early January.... coldie... You'll have him soon. I think he needs some sunshine right about now, cause this monsoon season is really holding on.

Anyway... how is everyone? What has happened? Hows the mod going?

I never got over Thane. I still wanna cry every time I see him. I just pretend ME3 doesn't exist. That, and delving myself into different fandoms helped a lot. (*Watch Sherlock*).

The mod is coming along nicely:

Things that are done:

• A unique conditional has been created (thank HJF4 for this one) to keep Thane away from the Cerberus coup (and dying off-screen).
• Huerta dialogue has been edited to contain less auto-dialogue about the VS and ME3 Keplar's Syndrome derp. (The edits are not final yet, but that's the "so far" status)
• The first romance email has been written (and two friend emails are also done).
• Autoflirting with Vega has been disabled.

Things that are currently in the works:

• More dialogue edits.
• It seems like we can get the Paramour achievment to be triggered with the Huerta meetup,
• We are getting close to having Thane present in the MEHEM memorial.
• We are considering what can be done re: Citadel DLC.
• Ending Sliders are also going to be made.

As a bonus, I'm currently making a "Thane-themed" texmod for the n7dress.
I'm also going to have a look at the derpy "hand-holding" animation at Huerta" and see if it can be fixed, and I'll have a look at lip-synching animations (currently, the edited audio isn't lip-synched)

I think that's the gist of things so far.

Sorry to read that you have been drenched. Coming from a somewhat rainy part of the US (PNW), I get the "rain" thang. LOL Can't wait to get my mits on travelin' Thane.

It's been terrible. Poor Travelling Thane has been cooped up inside doing nothing but watching the BBC's Sherlock (watch the BBC's Sherlock. Seriously. Just Watch It, if for nothing other than the half-naked sheet scene in "Buckingham Palace"!!!! *emphatic nod*) reading the Sherlock Holmes books, and trying to strangle me every time I bring out the violin. It's been terrible trying to get photos. Even on the Gold Coast trip all the photos I could get were in the bloody train...

Um... Emerald... I have something terrible to tell you. The Mjollnir you made for Travelling Thane broke, and I havent' found the missing piece to glue it back together. I'M SORRY!!!

Emerald, that mod sounds FANTASTIC!!! I can't wait to see what else you're able to do with it! I still with ME was like Skyrim though. It would have been so much easier for you poor guys to mod if it were. If you need a hand with editing from a fresh perspective, let me know. Just... not on a Friday. Thursday - Saturday belong to Roarkshop.

Ah, don't stress it on my account myth, I knew the clay was a tad brittle when I made it.
