This is my last weekend with Thane Plushie, so tonight we are BBQing, and I am going to get my PDS on (Plainly Drunk Self), with some Cucumber Gin coolers courtesy of a local distillery. Yummy! Gotta love this town.....we can get you "tanked" (booze/wine/beer) and "cranked" (coffee/tazotea). What a magical place.....LOL! XD

yeahhhhhh.......sorry about a good old fashioned drunk posting fest. Ended up having dinner and an extended "happy hour" out back with our neighbors. I did make one post on the new forum, and I used a naughty word....does that count? XD
And BTW @mnomaha......I loved your unintended "ridges".

Another round of Thane Plushie pics! We went for a hike yesterday through Washington Park and Hoyt Arboretum (there are three main wooded parks all connecting with each other. The main trail, Wildwood, is "technically" 33 miles long in one direction. A number of other trails split off from Wildwood, so the variety of hiking trails is quite extensive, and can make for short walks, to lengthy hikes.) This also connects with the Portland Rose Test Gardens. Got a number of people asking questions, but all were very kind. Made some smile or giggle, which I am all good with (even if they are giggling at me. LOL!)
Thane amazed at all the roses!

One must always stop and smell the roses....

Resting at the Redwood deck in the Hoyt Arboretum. (plaque is a nice dedication to lost love ones...a quote by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow)

More Redwood....

The sign says it all....

Chillin' next to the "creek"....

My favorite tree in the park, a Tibetan Cherry. Thane is just showing how agile he is.....

Thane wishing those "thimbleberries" were already to fruit, but alas......come end of July/beginning of August, I will be up there "snacking" LOL!

And finally, a well deserved rest with some local brews....chug-a-lug, my dear drell!

Awesome pictures of his Drelliciousness. Can't wait until we walk those trails, or rather, you walk and drag me unconscious behind you.

@mnomaha - LOL. I'll just tether you to me, that way I won't lose ya.
Nahhh.....you will be an old pro in no time. The trail heads are so centrally located that they are just begging to be hiked all the time. Such easy access whether you live on the west or eastside of the river....got love it!

@Beaniebat - You are always welcome to come for a hike with me (and anyone else who might be around *mnomaha, giftfish*).....and if you do move to BC, we could make this happen.
@mnomaha - are you referencing your current wishlist, my friend?

More Pics!! I took Thane on a bike ride yesterday along the East Esplanade, then onto the river portion of the Spring Water Trail. The Spring Water multi-use trail runs from East Portland (starting just South of OMSI - Oregon Museum of Science and Industry), to Boring, Oregon. 50 miles round trip. I only took him on the portion that runs to Sellwood (along the river). He got to spy two eagles and an osprey, plus multiple herons, ducks and mergansers at Oaks Bottom wildlife refuge. Watched a number of boaters (human, wind, and motor powered), and few dogs fetching sticks out of the river. On the East Esplanade, he took in all the locals and tourists who were out in rental pedal cabs, fishing, or across the river whooping it up at the Rose Festival fun center. So, without further ado......
Just past the starting point of the Spring Water trail

Spying a sailboat on the Willamette River

Main drag of the trail near Oaks Bottom, and Oaks Park

One of the marshes at Oaks Bottom (old pdx rail line)

Human powered boats....I think Thane was jealous. He would have liked to paddle the river for a bit.

Near Hawthorne bridge on the East Esplanade

Hawthorne bridge and some of the westside Waterfront (Rose festival fun center going on)

East Esplanade near the Morrison bridge

Nearing the Steele bridge crossing of the East Esplanade

Starting to be come obvious why they call Portland the City of Bridges....LOL!

After the ride, we had some "snuggle" time. Looking a little haggard from the workout....me, not Thane.

He was exhausted. Needed his beauty sleep for his travels to Utah today. (and yes, I put him in this little bed I made him every night....don't judge!)

**NOTE**
No drell was harmed in the making of these pictures. He rode in my Deuter bag during the ride, and was secured with my scarf whenever I sat him on the bike for pictures....didn't want him being blown away. (it was hella-windy yesterday..HA!)

@coldi - Oh, if I do get it sorted and can move over there, I will be telling everyone!!!! (Except those I don't want to be able to track me down... you guys aren't in that group though =P).
These are nowhere near as good as the Thane plushie pics, but I'm going to share them all the same...

Edit: Forgot to say that these are all based on pixel character designs by pixelblock

And thank you! I think Legion is my favourite. And Jack was actually really fun to make ![=]](https://lvlt.forum.bioware.com/public/style_emoticons/default/sideways.png)
@mnomaha - aww, thank you! People at work didn't really want to eat them, but hunger won out in the end... as it always does! =P
@coldi - thank you too! =D They are not shortbread - icing just ruins shortbread in my opinion! =P I don't even know what to call them... they're just plain biscuits with a bit of mixed spice mixed in... =P

Been staring and laughing for about 20 minutes. And strangely, thinking about Gerry Butler. Ahhhh, Gerry Butler.

Okay he changed it for the final sketch, because Fenris is more of a Vanguard than Thane is, but he kept Thane's outfit!
