Totally!  *92 members now!  I understand some may feel that the 'better' end for Thane is to let him wither away with that nasty illness, but what would it hurt to give us the option to cure him?  I mean for goodness sakes they made a sexy lizard man for us ladies, and then what?  Take him away because of some stupid sickness?

If anyone should be blamed for this.. it's the devs for making him so smexy / romantic / great!  This would be like giving Alistair an illness! <_<

Yet you see, that's what makes this case different.  The death sentence you accept in Dragon Age is clearly far off into the distant future from when you meet Alistair and your team.  Not only that, but it doesn't just affect one member, it affects -all- Grey Wardens.

Well this whole topic has made me far too anxious about a fictional character. I haven't been this anxious about a bunch of expertly crafted pixels since.. Well I don't really remember when. I need answers! I need a cure! I need psychological help!

Omgah.. same here!  Don't worry Zanaide *huggles* We'll get through it!  It just wouldn't be fair or make sense for them to kill off one of the best character additions to their story.  Not to mention how they specifically designed him for us ladies and boys out here.   Or the fact they'd spend so much time, resources - OH HERE I GO AGAIN!

A lot of my friends think I'm weird for liking this sexy lizard man. But they don't know him....they haven't played the game and wittnessed his badassy-ness. His sweet pet names and hand holding....

I was kind of expecting Thane to die eventually anyway, didn't he have only months to live? Way I figured his son might replace him in the next game.

There are some posts on this already in the thread.  Mostly saying that Kolyat can't replace Thane.  Kolyat has no skills compared to Thane.  Thane was trained at the age of 6yrs old.  Not to mention, that's not at all what Thane wants for his son.

Also, I believe he has about a year or so to live.  He mentions the Hanar are still working on a cure, and you get a chain-mail (highly controversial over how important it really is) on a possible cure hint / foreshadowing for future DLC or ME3.

I wouldn't agree Thane is "The best" character by bioware ever but he's good - wouldn't mind seeing him again, but frankly, that'd be cheating what with the whole "I'm dying" disease.
