I'm totally against it. I've said it before, and I'll say it again that I'm not going to play a ME3 with Thane dead.jtav wrote...
Unfortunately, I have nothing intelligent to say about Thane other than that I don't want to see him cured. The tragic romance is part of his charm. He seems to have reduced me to the intelligence of a giggling teenager

Is this what you really want? Really? Really?

They both have that "je ne sais quoi" and they do have stories with Shepard which can be described as romantic. <3drunken pyromaniac wrote...

I haven't posted in here much but Thane is tied with Jack for my favorite ME2 character. I hope they cure him for ME3.
That's part of their appeal.

The shades are okay - on Jack though the shades need to be gotten rid of.

And now one with his pretty eyes.

Wouldn't you like to lose yourself (!) in those eyes?

I agree completely. I mean, why the hell would they make him an LI just so that he can die on us between game?Collider wrote...
Thane being dead in ME3 = stupid. All that effort just to have him die? Would be senseless.
it wouldn't be fair to all those that romanced him, and a complete waste of a good character.

blech. to me his alt. appearance makes him look like he's going through a mid-life crisis or somethinglaradenton wrote...

Fortunately with that in mind I don't consider there being an iota of chance that he's going to die in between ME2 and ME3. The only question is what happens to him within the game itself. The best course of action may be something to elongate his life and/or an ambiguous ending that makes the cure seem possible but not conclusive - so some people can imagine that femShep was together with Thane in his last days or that was life was elongated/he was cured.MementoMori wrote...

To do that, you might just have the ending indicate that scientists are working on the cure.
Of course I wouldn't mind him being cured at all, just thought that this way it would please those who thought that curing him would be cheap.

It's true. It's not him. Or at least not how some of us see him as being. Maybe looking at him while wearing myself some type of shades would change my perception?
I like your optimism, and, to add to that, looking how some other things were handled they might choose the "cheap" version - not for me - anyway.Collider wrote...

Also, Shepard lives the kind of life where she, and most of the people she associates with, could die at any moment (this is true of all beings, to a certain extent. But moreso if you are fighting angry mercs on a daily basis)
I guess my point is that I think that even if Thane is not cured in game, there can still be an uplifting and happy resolution. But that's just me.

I am looking forward to the other outfits. For some of them I have no idea what they could do besides just retexturing.laradenton wrote...
Probably that's the case, but I don't mind it. It is a nice retexture. I wonder when the others will get new outfits. Even if it's so little, it is still refreshing to have new things to play with.

I've taken the liberty of placing that quote at the top of the romance secion of his Wiki page. Do you girls agree that it is the most suitable one or should I consider another?

Damn, some of Thane's lines are really too good. "Time for me is short, siha, but any I have is yours to take." being one such example.

His SM unique death dialogue is the most varied of the LIs, I think. And the most heartbreaking (with the possible exception of Grunt. But you can't romance Grunt
Made me sad to lsiten to it. (in soundfile format. I've never lost Thane. Well, other than my one 'everyone dies PT :innocent:)

2nd fireteam leader death.
Grunt says "Got the Clan through, I'm staying behind. Good fight, Shepard. Good fight."
Thane: "My siha you look beautiful." (I think something about the ocean as well.)
He also calls Shep 'Siha' a couple of key points, It's so sweet.
EDIT: Ninjad!

Thane has a love interest unique dialog if he dies as the second team leader. He says something like...
"I see the ocean...You are so beautiful, my Siha."
It's not something I'll hear in my games though. But I think it's nice that it exists and it adds to his romance.
I'm half asleep anyway and I see only <3<3<3

Agreed with Thane. I have trouble defining why beyond the looking for redemption thing but he's awesome to me. Jack I relate to heavily though so I know why I like her.laradenton wrote...
