I wouldn't mind the pupils, but I don't like the enlarged human-like nature of them. I guess it's his other reptilian features, it just makes me think his eyes should have followed a similar pattern. Still that normal darkness to them, but upon closer inspection, you see the slit features of a lizard's eye.
Like that?
Nah, two sets of eyelids are enough lizardry for me^_^

not to be a nit-picker but the normal lizard's eye has no slit feature. Lizards usually have round pupils. The slit feature is more commong among other reptiles though.

Hmm, my experience with lizards is that they actually have a slit feature that can widen into a round pupil to gather more light.J4N3_M3 wrote...

But moving on, if you've frequented some of the other threads today, you know I've been asking people who they thought best complimented each other in a squad. Not just through game mechanics, but looking at a character's personality, the abilities you feel they have beyond what we see from their game powers, the strategies they use.
For instance, for Jack, I paired her with Grunt and Thane. For one, I feel they have no personality clashes. Second, I think they strive when able to use their abilities with a great deal of independence. What brings out the best in combat isn't being forced to use their abilities in conjuction with another squadmate, but to use them as they always have as loners and those abilities just happen to compliment each other in the process.
But that was for getting the best use out of Jack. To get the best use out of Thane, I think attack from the shadows works best. Working the battlefield in a manner that makes the squad difficult to predict, difficult to locate. In which case I think Kasumi and Garrus could work very well with Thane.

Worked out the best for me in terms of both combat and entertaining dialog

I've been thinking about what squadmates can do or say if you stood around idle long enough, sort of like how Joker would make random comments if you hovered behind him on the bridge. The first thing I thought of about Thane was him occasionally grabbing that cup on the table and drinking out of it. Another thing I thought about was him commenting that when someone stood behind him for that long, it usually meant they were planning some sort of surgical strike against him.
I can actually picture him cleaning his gun, like taking it apart and putting it back together. Or analyzing the weapons that are in the room, look at them and then comment on them. Or some random memory flashback. Stuff like that.

I see him smoking a cigarette Manny Calavera style. Though it can't be good for his health

"Love? Love is for the living, Shepard."
"I just locked an open door. Strange, yet symbolically compelling."
Thane could quote poetry at random. That'd be nice.

Heh. I will never understand the fixation on Thane's son.
oh he will be interesting to talk to, I'm sure but he is not Thane and that's my problem. I mean, Thane is 8 years older than Shep and so much more interesting. What does FemShep want with Thane's son that's still a boy? just my two cents....

You can't take him on a suicide mission ... can't you see ... he's old!
Shepard can't possibly be attracted to him ... he's too ... old!
Can't you see ... he's OLD!
(Mind you, this is all said very tongue-in-cheek.)
