Hello and sorry if this has been posted before (I couldn't find a search button) when I started up the DAO launcher it doesn't let me click the ''Play'' Or ''Configure'' buttons, my drive is reading the disk fine and it worked perfectly yesterday.
A quick response and fix would be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance.Posted Image

THis is from his ME1 / ME2 sticky, but the principle is the same (Chris Priestley):

Hi Everyone

We know that after months of anticipation, getting
that new game home only to encounter a problem is frustrating and that
you’re looking for a solution as quick as possible. Bear in mind that
the fastest solution may *not* be to just start a new thread here in
this forum. Please review the following guidelines for posting in the
Mass Effect PC Technical Support forum.

First, confirm that your system meets or exceeds the published minimum system specs:

1.      OS:      Windows XP SP3 or Windows Vista SP1 or Windows 7

2.      CPU:    1.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (equivalent AMD CPU)

3.      RAM:   1 GB for Windows XP or 2 GB for Windows Vista / Windows 7

4.
VIDEO:            nVidia GeForce 6800 or greater; ATI Radeon X1600 Pro
or greater. (nVidia GeForce 7300, 8100, 8200, 8300, 8400, and 9300 and
ATI Radeon HD3200 and HD 4350 are below min-spec)

5.      AUDIO:            DirectX 9.0c compatible

6.      DirectX            9.0c August 2008

As long as the SEARCH is not easily available, I skipped hs "Second" step.

Third, if you don’t find a
similar problem already reported, consider starting a new thread. Note
that most of this information can be obtained by using the game’s
Configuration Utility which is available by pressing the [Configure]
button from the game’s launcher:

1.      Which Game Are You Playing

a.      Since this forum is for both ME1 (PC) and ME2 (PC) it’s important to identify which product is experiencing the problem.

b.     Media: physical disk or digital download (and which vendor)

c.      Configuration Utility | Game Tab
Version Information: MassEffect2.EXE
2.      System Details

a.      Configuration Utility | Summary Tab
Processor / Clock Speed / RAM
Display
Adapter / VRAM / Driver Version (just saying "latest drivers" doesn't
help)
Sound Adapter / Driver Version
b.     Configuration Utility | Platform Tab
Operating System (& service pack if applicable)
Direct X Version
3.      Problem Details

a.      When it comes to problem details, think about the five basic questions. Who? What? When? Where?
Why? Okay, so “Who?” doesn’t really apply here, but the others do.

b.     What? What is the nature problem that you’re seeing?

c.      When? When does the problem occur? Every time you engage in a particular action or only
after so many hours of play?

d.     Where? Where does the problem occur? Is the problem localized to a particular planet or does
it occur everywhere?

e.     Why? As much as possible, can you isolate the problem to a specific set of steps?

If
you follow these guidelines, and provide the requested information when
posting, it will increase the likelihood that someone will be able to
help you diagnose the problem and find a solution.

Please report issues, after checking these steps, in new threads.

Thanks! ../../../images/forum/emoticons/smile.png

(The above applies for both games, with appropriate adjustments for any differences in System Requirements)

This would seem to be an issue with the loader. @Gorath - The problem is not the PC, rather it is the loader. By 'worked perfectly yesterday' do you mean that the game worked?

I'm experiencing a similar problem. In Dragon Age 2, When my characters gain a level and I try to add a spell or a weapon specialty, and I hit the confirm button nothing happens.

I have Windows 7, 4 GB ram, over 300GB worth of empty harddrive space, Intel 2.0 GHZ pentium chip, Direct X 9.0, I have an intel graphics card with 1.76GB of Ram.

It's making it pretty difficult to play as you can imagine.

I've downloaded the latest bug fixes as well.

If you need anymore info just ask.

Since he left everything off, everything was needed. It did seem he had a bad attitude, and wanted the local members on hand to rush to his beck and call, as if we were his hirelings.
