I believe that all of the eye colors are set to brown\\grey when your graphic detail settings are set to 'low'

There are two situations in which there is neither any eye color variation, nor any blood splatters.  A Low-end PC needs small textures in order to run smoothly.  You can choose a very low screen resolution with a Low End PC and perhaps have some opportunity for medium textures.

The minimum ATI Radeon is only the minimum because of its limited SM3 pixel shader functionality.  The Xn00 cards with SM2+ pixel shaders were plenty good five years ago, but time has left them behind.  No matter where you tell the game to set the textures, it will ignore you if you have an X800 or X850 Radeon.

(There have been three levels of Direct3D's Dx9: there was "a" which had SM2 pixel shaders, "b:, which had one notch of SM3 shader capability, and "c" is the full range of SM3 shaders.)

Also true blue eyes (like the ones that many enviable NPC's in the game have) aren't possible with the default character creator in DAO, there only seem to be shades of green, grey and brown available. So even after the graphics upgrade you might be disappointed...

If you really want bright blue eyes I suggest checking out some of the available mods at  www.dragonagenexus.com
A good mod for eye colors is Pineappletree's Vibrant Colors. That's how my avatar got her baby blues. ^_^

Remember, this time, that "new" doesn't necessarily mean "better", if you don't keep track of the basics:

I remember at best you could get a really dark blue, almost black in poorly lit areas (like the char creator), but nothing like the icy-blue eyes which (for example) Anora has. I always thought that was a serious lack in the character creator. So many of the Ferelden nobility have true blue eyes... why should a Cousland not be able to? =]

I just wanna be able to have something other than brown or brown... I looked at my settings and had my settings looked at by a friend and he said mine are all up to snuff. So were not sure why I only get the brown eyes. Is it maybe a PC version problem ??Or maybe a hidden setting??

You can set things wherever you want to try setting them, but just as already noted, if the video card has limitations, your attempted settings are ignored (any X700, X800, X850, and various Mobile cards hased on those elderly cards, particularly), and if the card is low quality, the animation smoothness is lost.

Is there a way to use Pineappletree's eye color with the More hairstyles?? I love the hair ,I love the eyes but can't seem to get them both to work together or to get a eye color mod to work with More Hairstyles. Asking on there website and I get a run around . (please if people have a solution do it in dummy format,I'm not a coder ,or a web designer,I'm a chef that plays video games,I don't speak leet)
