We have added 4 new screenshots of Vigil's Keep, the base for Grey Wardens in Amaranthine. You can see all 4 screenshots here: VIGIL'S KEEP

VIGIL'S KEEP
Amaranthine was the first of the Fereldan arlings to fall to the Orlesian occupation. As the port city burned, its ruling family, the Howes, fled to the countryside to wage a guerrilla war against the invaders that lasted for generations. No matter how enormous of a bounty the Orlesians promised, they could not rid themselves of the wily Howes and their ever-growing number of sympathizers.

The Howes chose the ancient fortress of Vigil's Keep as their primary base of operations, hiding the entire rebellion within the vast complex of storage rooms and caves beneath “The Vigil” -- right underneath the noses of their oppressors. When the Orlesians were finally ousted, it was at Vigil's Keep that the flag of Amaranthine was first raised again, amidst cheers of victory. Vigil's Keep became the new home of the Howes.

But after years of faithful service to the kingdom, Arl Rendon Howe's ambition brought about his death and his
family's ruin. Now Vigil's Keep and the arling of Amaranthine belong to the Grey Wardens.

The walls of the Vigil have been manned since the time of the Avvar barbarians. The griffon banner is only the most recent in a long chain. How long will the Wardens' colors fly?

Looks fun, but I'm not buying any DLC until you release a bug fix for the XBOX 360.

Looks good. But what's the point in the towers when there's no windows to shoot out from? I'm having a hard time realizing the proportion of the castle from that image :x :P

Nice, seems massive and majestic! :) Hopefully there'll be all kinds of little secrets and eastereggs to find within Vigil's walls! :)

Em...I miss something. In the Stolen Throne Arl Byron was the Arl of Amaranthine. He may have been Howe, but 'guerrilla war against the invaders that lasted for generations'? Doesn't look like that. Arl Byron doesn't seem to be Orlesian either. So please save my brain - what do I miss?

It's DA:O-A...gawd lol, anyways looks cool can't wait to see more companion updates though. Loved Anders and I see why one of the devs said they liked the awakening companions better than origins. Sadly I probably won't be using Anders (unless I can make him a support mage) since he appears to be filling the same combat role which morrigan played and I didn't use much of her.

Also, anyone think that this place will serve a similar role to warden's keep. Basically a place to sump your gear into. /cross-fingers, hope they keep the ability to have your gear scale, mostly to upgrade warden commander set.

Can anyone get a closer look at those characters in the shot of the great hall? One blonde armoured figure with an attendant on either side.

The Keep looks good. :)

Looks nice. Could use more trees in the distance so it doesn't look so much like they were all placed in a neat row surrounding the keep.

Well, the rebellion against the Orlesians lasted from the time of Maric's grandfather through his mother then on to him.  That's enough time for "generations", depending on how old the last Howe who was in Amaranthine was.  Nearly a hundred years of Orlesian occupation, if I remember correctly.

I agree. Especially on the right side on the first screenshot. It looks silly how they're all lined up perfectly.

I assume that from the a ground level view its looks fine as the player is never supposed to have that birds eye view of the keep.
