Since i beat the game on my first playthrough, i can't start a new char without it sticking me with a soldier and other backgrounds it chooses for me. all it lets me do is custom face and name, thats it. otherwise, it just randomly gives me a soldier, I am tired of going throught the begginning of the game hoping i will get to choose my char. anybody have any ideas?
Does anybody else have this problem

Yeah, it's dumb but new game+ forces you to be your same class.

I'm surprised they didnt alter NG+ to allow you to reclass, on the upside at least NG+ is a feature, and at least we can respec via the upgrade terminal.

Here's the thing NG+ is reusing the character you already completed ME2 with. Otherwise you are importing a high level adept into the game.
If you want to choose your class you need either a totally new game or import a save from ME1
