So, I know updating the profile may take some time (1 hour or so) but I haven't had my profile updated for months. Really, yes I have the "[x] Update character profile" thing checked in game, and I remain logged in. But still, no change.
Any help here?

There are a whole plethora of reasons this might happen - and I don't know all the solutions. But here are some:
* You need to have 'update character profile' checked (I'm sure you both do, but to be complete).
* You need to be logged in and connected to the server.
* The game prioritises updates, with preference being given to those whose profiles are viewed by people other than themselves. If no-one but you views your profile it will continually be bumped down the list. You need to have a friend view it - or view it yourself while not logged in. And you need to do this regularly, if you want regular updates.
* You must use the same account while logged in to DAO that you use on this site, if you use a different account, it won't upload.
* Your router or firewall may be blocking ports needed by the game; these include ports 80, 443, and 18081. So make a firewall exception for the game. If that doesn't work, try doing it with the router.
