Jowan and Cullen fangirls? Other minor character fans?

You'd think with the toolset and so many mods that some of them would jump at the opportunity to make a romance.
The only one that's going anywhere is Ser Gilmore IIRC. Isn't this a bit dissapointing?
All those people complaining about lack or romances to their tases....why don't you write your ideal romance down? Some of us are making mods and adding characters, we could use some imput.

At the end of the game, with two arlhoods empty: Amaranthine and Denerim, they should have made him Arl of Denerim.

I always roleplayed it that my female mages have had a crush on Jowan--right up until they realize that he's an idiot. He does stupid things, then more stupid things to make up for the trouble the first set of stupid things brought on him, then wonders why the second set of stupid things brings even more trouble on him. No, just: no.
Sign me up for Kylon--he's handed an impossible situation and, with the help of the Warden, finds a way to fix it. Doesn't hurt that he respects the hell out of you, either!
I always found Ser Perth pretty dreamy, too!

I think the 2 guys in the human noble origin are both so sweet, i.e. Ser Gilmore and Dairren. I'm just a sucker for that courtly manner and English accent. Really doesn't take much more than that. I will put in a plug for Nelaros in the city elf origin, too. I don't even like blondes, but the fact that he's a huskily built elf, master smith, and his noble, brave manner with your character in that origin, it's such a shame that it doesn't work out! He doesn't even have a Wiki entry, but to me he's a memorable character.

How many people let Vaughn out of that cell? Now imagine wht that number will look like if the Kylon Appreciation Society found out that killing Vaughn will make Kylon an Arl

If my character isn't a city elf (in which case Vaughn probably didn't live to see the uprising), I don't see why I wouldn't release him.melkathi wrote...

If you talk to Soris (imprisoned in another room of the dungeon), he'll tell you what happened at his wedding. That's enough for me to whip out the murder knife.

I never really liked Dairren, he just seems a little... I dunno....
Love Ser Gilmore, and still waiting to see his mod get released!
Poor
Nelaros. I liked him a lot. I felt so bad because my character gave him
a hard time about not wanting to get married, even though she thought
he was cute. And then that happened, and she felt really bad.
Is it wrong to have a big crush on Soris? That was a little awkward during the CE origin... But no, I will never let Vaughan go free.

Soris is cute! I love the bit where you're on the way to the wedding and he says all wide-eyed "are you nervous?" Adorable. I'm glad he gets a happy epilogue, because it was a kick in the gut to hear the resentment in his voice when you return to the alienage.Nonvita wrote...

My city elf made the mistake of admitting to Nelaros that she was nervous until she saw him. His response line was so delicious that it totally melted her. Then when Soris told her that he was kicking people's asses to get them to save her... *sigh* It would totally have worked out. Good thing Zevran came along.

My human noble only had to hear that Howe had screwed the guy over before she let him out. She found him first, so Soris didn't get a chance to convince her otherwise.
@OP: There are a gazillion fanfictions about various romances...but most people do it in a story format because they don't have the skill to use the toolset nor the desire to learn, I'd imagine. So they have no real incentive to write for a mod.

Aww I've never tried that line on Nelaros. My CE pretty much whines through the whole thing "but I don't wannnna!". I guess it's her childish side coming through.
I use the DA Redesigned mod religiously, and I really like the Soris redux. Regular Soris was cute, too, but I think the black hair really suits him. <3
And it was sad going back to the Alienage. Poor Soris. You just know from his voice he's still bitter that she always beat him at play-fighting when they were kids. The guy just can't get a break. I'm curious about this human woman he ended up with, though. She must have been quite the catch!

Oh Maker, I'm such a putz for stuff like that.
When you returned to the alienage, did you ask Alarith about Soris? He tells you that after you left, everyone in the alienage blamed the purge on Soris, that people threw stones at him and those were the kindest ones, and that Soris has basically had to hide out. And his wife was taken by the Tevinters. Heartbreaking. Then when you leave, his stock line is something like "so cousin, you always get to be the hero." Ugh. So more power to him when he runs off with his beloved shem wife and has dozens of kids!

Lol, I got that weird vibe from my bard as well, after she made some cheese or trap wedding present joke (after Soris complained that his betrothed looked like a mouse) and he laughed heartily even though he knew he shouldn't. They got along too well. Uh, right up until she was all "Haha, you can't touch me!" and he was all "What about me???!"
You also notice at some point he makes a reference to a bride and then is all "Uh, I mean my bride, not my cousin" or something of the sort. Which almost sounds a little guilty.
Anyhow. In a lot of feudal societies, didn't cousins often marry anyhow? Not saying it's true in the DA universe, but I wouldn't be surprised to see that it happened.

Ohh yes I asked about Soris. It really is sad what happens to him, and he never really did anything to deserve it! My CE felt pretty guilty after she went back there, that despite protecting him by incriminating only herself, he still ended up as the target of blame. And I feel soooo bad for his elven wife- she never comes back, so it's safe to assume she actually was sold off into slavery for good. It's terrible! You're right, seeing a little happiness for him at the end was a pleasant surprise!
I'm trying to think of other minor characters worth mentioning... I realize Daveth comes up a lot in these discussions, but can't I please bring him up again? A little fling with him before the joining would be such a welcome addition, especially since it could add some more emotion to his death.
Oh, and Ser Bryant in Lothering!
