Seriously though, why didn't Eleanor and Bryce think to hook their daughter up with Bann Teagan? For all of Eleanor's fretting about me scaring men off with my sweatiness and big swords, she should have known that there was a perfectly available, awesome bann out there who seems to totally dig that in a woman.

I stand by my love for Sgt. Kylon. If I were not a grown woman, I might write his name on a Trapper Keeper with little hearts around it. I always put off talking to him until later in the game because it's pretty much the highpoint for me. I am sad.

Also, Bella. I just wish she was a little more fluid in her affections. I can only imagine how the Redcliffe militia would respond if she kissed any of my female PC's the way she does the male PC.

I agree, the templars are hawt.  Maybe there is something to what Alistair says about the uniform being so stylish.  You know who I like?  The templar that comes up to you when you tell Ser Bryant that you've run the bandits off, the one who says "it's true, I saw the bastards running for the hills myself."  It's the little bow he does to you afterwards.  Crikey, I am easily impressed.

Maybe part of it is that they're untouchable.  That lone templar who stands on the docks at Lake Calenhad, praying for the souls of the lost... *sigh*

The great thing about the game is you rarely have the chance to talk to characters long enough to find out that they're ****s. I've fallen for plenty of guys IRL after talking to them for 2 seconds, only to be rudely awakened by their terrible traits 2 seconds later. But in DA, those last 2 seconds don't exist, so we're stuck in a state of delightfully shallow and oblivious crush-hood. It's so bad, actually, that I've realized I get upset every time there's a character in the game I *can't* flirt/sleep with...

haha this was so funny AND true i couldn't help but respond.    (and i think i sat on the other side of that same hot moron in college that was mentioned - do they enroll at least one per class as a learning experiment for us, or what? ) Mine was 6'9, triple black belt body builder.    He actually wasn't a douchebag, he was nice, just didn't live up to the hype  :innocent:  I always am attracted by looks, but am hooked by personality/heart.    

It is SO true that in DA:O that those 2 seconds of realization don't exist and we are, as you so wonderfully said, " stuck in a state of delightfully shallow and oblivious crush-hood. " That is it totally!!! I'm still grinning like a cheshire cat over that one.  

... and of course I am very happy I am not the only one who gets upset when someone I want to flirt with doesn't have that option in the game. 

Re: templars. I think its the uniform.  It's like the modern day police/firefighter thing.  I wonder if we can get Bella to start up a Templar calendar..... lol Just kidding !

I really do wonder this too.  My HNF was totally charmed by Teagan, and she was only beginning to look at Alistair in that light so she would have totally gone for that match!

Probably a number of reasons it never came up though.  1) Teagan is older, late thirties early forties by the game (I think he was 7 during the majority of Stolen Throne) and HNF is probably somewhere between 17-22, given that she's unmarried still, though "cherished only daughter" syndrome might explain that in a feudal society.  2)  His codex says that he prefers to stay out of politics and so never goes to Denerim except to hunt with Cailan, so its possible that Bryce knows little about him and thus doesn't realize what a good match he'd be for his daughter.  3)  Rainesfaire is a small bannorn, and as the Teyrn of Highever your family is second to the royal family.  Maybe Bryce just thought Teagan wasn't good enough for his little girl.    Not that I agree!

YES! You stated what I couldn't, thats exactly what it is. That being untouchable, (un?) fortunately for them, makes me want to touch them.

And that Templar at the Docks is awesome, he always helps in the fight when I am collectiong Sammael for Dereliction of Duty, doing his fist throwing(it is!).

Your Cullen was cute but I don't like the Teagan Redo.  I don't know if its just because his look is so locked for me or what.  The original has this whole Errol Flynn/Robin Hood look for me.  And I like my men on the mature side.

Yeah, I figured not too many people would like the Teagan redo  for me, I found him to be...well, the toolset said he was 30 (Eamon was 45 I think) and he looked to be in his 40s ._. I dunno, I think after Casavir in Neverwinter Nights 2, I have a thing about people looking their age  but all is not lost on Teagan: the cutscene in Denerim when Loghain claims himself regent and when it shows the castle after archdemon is striked: Teagan returns to his old self  I also forgot to mention I redid Mouse! XD

I am intrigued, very intrigued by this idea. Teagan as King.....that could in fact work. (Can also see him doing the Mel Brooks thing and looking directly into the camera with a mischievious and alluring look saying softly, "It's good to be the king."

But to feeding the Archdemon Alistair-Snacks, I say just give him his happy ending with the GW's and maybe the LI who loves him. Since he never did want to be King, if someone else steps up for it, I think he could let it slide.
