I am dis-appointed with ME2. No inventory system. My character walks like a lame, and runs everywhere. etc..... They should have left everything like ME1 with a new story & levels. It would have been better than it is now.  whats your honest opinion with the game? good or bad. details. Posted Image

Another stupid thread. Go look for threads and post under the current existing one

so was halo 2. best saling game(of it's time) but once you beat the game. your left saying ......that's it.

You maybe. I would agree, but there are a great many people that love to replay the campaign as well as go online and fight other people.

Critics are paid by big game companies to give good reviews. MW2 got good reviews, but it sucked. I never listen to reviews.

That would explain why Catwoman for the Xbox (also published by EA) got a 45 on Metacritic. God, it's amazing how easy the arguments posted on these forums are to knock down.

Ha! The entirety of EA's upper management would have had to sell their souls to satan to get that games score up....and well they already hocked those for SKATE.

I liked this game I truly did, but it feels like something is missing...(besides enough heat clips lol jk)

What's wrong with SKATE?  It's a skateboard game that's actually good and somewhat innovative, at least better than anything Tony Hawk has come up with since Pro Skater 2.

I found ME2 to be one of the most satisfying and gratifying games I've ever played. It sounds fanboyish, but it's the truth, so what can you do? That's not to say it will have the same impact on everyone, it certainly hasn't, but for me everything in ME2 just feels robust and significant.

I have to say I prefer the unrealistic arcade action of the THPS series, but if you want to replicate the feel of actually skating without some terrible peripheral, SKATE gets it done.

If two of us are identical, one of us isn't necessary.

I'm glad ME2 is distinctive from ME1. I miss a few small things from ME1 but the overall ME2 experience is great as was ME1. They are just distinctive experiences which I think adds to the replayability of the franchise as a whole & keeps the games "fresher" in terms of shelf life.

I could never go back to playing ME1 after playing through Mass Effect 2. You can spin the changes they made both ways. I prefer to think of it as a streamlining of the system, to allow me to get into the action faster, and enjoy the wonderful story they created.

I don't miss driving around planets for hours going through the same buildings and having meaningless interactions with NPCs. Everything I've done in ME2 is unique, and has an impact on my character and the story. That's the way it should be.

What I'd like to see for ME3 is a polishing and mixing of 1 &2... bring things together so to speak. It's been a great series so far. I like ME1 for some things and ME2 for others.

Perhaps bring the Mako back..but use it for missions only (certain ones). I did NOT like driving around looking for resources, but there was something satisfying about blasting geth to kingdom come with the cannon..

The planet scanning game...meh..I don't know. I don't like it, it's boring and everything..but I'm thinking it's better than driving around looking for resources. Good thing most of the time you're driving around you're up to something and the resources were just icing on the cake and then as I said..there was the cannon :)

Edit: (I actually meant Skate 2 above)

More of a First Person Shooter, not even a Third Person Shooter?

When is it First-person? (beside arming the cannons at Tuchanka?) :D

The lack of variety in armors is perhaps my biggest gripe with ME2.

-No colossus, predator, rage, phantom or even Commando(you know we want it bioware)

-No squad armor(lame)

-No helmet toggle(lame)

Had they included/incorporated them into the "scan and store" system in ME2 I would have bumped final review by one point.

The customization was full of weak sauce and preset outfits for squad mates is a HUGE step back.(breaks immersion)

That is all, still a great game no doubt just not an improvement over ME1 in this area.

Less immersive? ME2 felt far more immersive in my opinion, most of the characters barely showed any emotion in the first game and alot of the planets felt barren, lifeless and artificial.

So when you go to a "dangerous" enviroment(be it a planet or a fire fight) and shep is in fully protected against that enviroment but Miranda and Jack simply need some clothes and a mask that makes sense right?

No breaking of immersion there right?

Some things are better in the first, some are better in the second. It's unfair to clal either a bad game. There would be no point in spending money on a Mass Effect 1 expansion as many people seemed to hope for. The two games are two SEPERATE games, as they were always meant to be.

The first game was an RPG with shooter elements, the second is a Shooter with RPG elements and Adventure game inventory workings.

Just my two cents.

As I said on a poll:

"Evidence clearly shows in numbers that most people are not disappointed. It only takes one or two bad mouths to spread negativity to the masses, not that I'm saying people aren't entitled to their opinions.

It's one of the best games I played, and I loved it's predecessor as well. Honestly, it's a better "Role Playing" game, with less problematic and clunky "game mechanics" (though variety needs to be bumped up a lot in terms of armor, and a little more in weaponry), and a less powerful main plot. It manages, however, to bring out amazing characters, beautiful environments, fun combat, and a final mission that can end with so many good and bad implications (no one is immortal in this game, not even Shepard). "

I agree I miss actually being able to see my weapons change as they upgrade. I miss getting to choose my up grades. I enjoyed the game, but it left me with a lot of questions. I did not like having to deal with the thermal clips either. The first Mass Effect I had an assult rifle that I could just spray and pray and it never overheated. I was so glad that I did not have to drive that Mako. However, that being said, ME3 should be awsome if it pulls the story together. I think that they were absolutly right when they compared ME2 to Empire Strikes back, lots of questions, no real answers. When ME3 comes out I believe all questions will be answered, and mabye we will be able to see Tali's face : ), giggidy, giggidy, all right.. : )

MASS EFFECT ROCKS THIS TRILOGY SHOULD BE BIGGER THAN STAR WARS IF THEY DO IT RIGHT.  TAKE YOUR TIME GUYS MAKE IT WORTH THE WAIT, MAKE IT RIGHT, DO NOT RUSH IT AND MAKE IT HORRIBLE LIKE BUNGIE DID WITH HALO.  WE'LL WAIT TRUST ME.
P.S.  ON ME3 MAKE A DISC HOLDER WITH THE COLLECTOR'S EDITION.  POSSIBLE IDEAS: N7 HELMET, REAPERSHIP??????????Posted Image

I was disappointed with ME2. I applaud their desire to try to fix the problems from the old game, but I think they managed to actually make things worse than they were before. My opinion, of course.

ME2 isn't the game I had hoped to enjoy. Maybe it is a good game if looked at with different expectations, but it is a failure in my eyes. It isn't what it should have been.

While I like the game I probably should have got the normal version. The armors look like ass, the weapons while cool aren't really worth the $10 or whatever extra I paid. The soundtrack makes it somewhat worth it though.

I did not really have an issue with the little terrain. With budgets imposed by EA Bioware guys did not have a lot to work with. If EA would get rid of dying titles like Need For Speed, I liked Most Wanted, but the last three sucked, then they could alocate more funds to the greats like ME 3 and Dragon Age. Since Bioware was bought out by EA they have to deal with the horrors of dumb CEO's budget's.

Mass Effect 2 is the middle part of the trilogy.........

Think Empire Strikes back, with the biggest revalation being Luke was Vader's son...

I'm glad I bought the collectors' edition.

...although that behind the scenes video on the bonus disc could have done with a lot more "behind the scenes" and a LOT less "promo." You don't have to try to sell me the game, if I'm watching your "making of" video, that means I have the collectors' edition!!

Mass Effect 3 will be the same as Return of the Jedi. Great and it will bring the whole story together. Yes I absolutly loved ME1 and ME2 if you have not noticed. Although it did have quirks and glitches, every game has those. If you have the coleector's edition, watch all the videos the developers will explain all. They are the"VANGUARD OF ALL GAMES".

I did not know that this was the game we were getting, but when I found out that the developers were planning on a trilogy I calmed down. I absolutly hated having to download the extras on the computer first. Trust me ME3 should rock if they take their time and don't fowl it up like Bungie did with the Halo series.
