sidequests don't give you more paragon/renegade, but still do them because if you upgrade your class ability, you'll get a negotiation bonus.

It just so happens I made a post describing what you need to resolve the Jack/Miranda fight. The second post describes what you can do to try to resolve the fight.johnsb14 wrote...

I was on neutral path and didn't have enough renegade or paragon to do any convincing, but it turns out not to matter with respect to saving everyone. I told Miranda to back off, and I was bummed that I could never convince her to be the bigger woman, because I thought it would affect my chances at the end. I went through the Omega 4 with only Miranda and Zaeed unloyal, and everyone was fine. It does make a difference in the final boss scene, where Miranda didn't survive getting smooshed by the giant panel. But I replayed the scene with Mordin and Thane, and everyone was cool.

That depends on the quest. N7 missions rarely give morality, but the sidequests in a populated area (e.g. Omega, the Citadel, Illium) usually do.
What's worse is that NOT doing them actually hurts your score, because they are added to your potential the moment you land.

I think you missed AK118's point, Optimystic_X. It's not that side quests provide morality opportunities, it's that side quests provide opportunities to level up more quickly; this enables you to take additional levels in your core class which, at level four, allows the option to get the 100% increase in morality points.
One thing that I've had a hard time finding a definitive answer on is, do you get the 100% increase on all morality points from this moment onward, or is it cumulative? The former case would encourage players to level up in their core class sooner rather than later. Anybody know how this works?
