I really liked the fact that if you equiped your mom with the family sword it gets returned to you when she dies. I was pretty peeved when during that scene, expecting to lose all my crap I equipped her with. Then POOF. It's back in my inventory. Good show, Bio dudes! Good show!

Only problem now, I can't get myself to part with it, with her making a big deal about keeping it safe and all before dying. My MC is a two hander, and Alistair already has something better.

Be careful in the tower in the camp, after you kill the boss at the top the equipment left on the guy who join you temporally will disappear... Had to start the fight anew to get back my amulet of the war mage...

I also kept it, for sentimental value. Its resting safely at Wardens Keep now. I tend to do this however, keep items that actually meant something in game because I can't see my character pawning off his familys sword for a few silver, even if he is a Grey Warden now and has "cut all ties".

I take it rogues can backstab with larger weapons? If so, it would a good use for Leliana.
