Watch the credits or go flip the back of the game manual. I don't know as I haven't done either one but usually important cast members are listed in the credits or at the end of the game manual.

How do you get the choice to do a mission before the crew gets abducted. I talked to Legion got his quest went up to the map, and the game locked me into the crew getting swiped. After that finished I did Legions missions, went threw the relay, and only the Doc was left. This is on the 360.

Verified several times with the PC Version but you pretty much:

Do IFF Quest and acquire Legion.
Talk to Legion right after IFF and trigger the Loyality Quest.
Do the Loyalty Quest ASAP.
Crew gets attacked.
You return and go to Omega 4 Relay.
Trigger the Relay.

This method will save the crew 100% of the time (Not Lilith though, she's get thrown under the bus no matter how good you are).

I know that for some people who are really good with the timing can also do Tali's Loyalty Quest w/ Legion and then do Legion's Loyality Quest before the abduction.

But how do you do the loyalty mission ASAP? As soon as I went to the map to do his quest I got sent out in the shuttle and the crew got lifted.

Did you do anything else before you acquired Legion's quest? Also, doing Legion's quest while your crew gets abducted is fine as long as you go to Omega 4 right after. The leeway BioWare gives you is 1-2 Quests post-IFF and 0-1 Quests post-abduction I believe.

You talk to Legion at first to get him into your party, exit the convo, then come back and you trigger his loyalty quest right away. After that convo, your crew gets attacked then you can do the loyalty quest, stop Tali and Legion from going all techy and nerdy on each other and go save your crew.

I was a bit confused about this.



I managed to keep my entire squad alive, but I got the sequence on the Collector's ship where half the crew is liquidated and Dr. Chakwas is rescued but laments the fact that Shepard was not quick enough to save them.



Anyway, I left the IFF mission to the very last moment, after I’d completed all of the loyalty missions (bar Legion), all of the side quests and explored 100% of every single system.



After the IFF mission I unlocked Legion, got the whole sequence with the Collectors boarding the Normandy, and then did Legion’s loyalty mission straight away! After completing that I went straight into the Omega 4 relay, having done everything else that I could do in that particular playthrough.



So… I was slightly puzzled to hear Dr. Chakwas shouting at me for being too slow.



I guess I must have done, or not done something, very small and unnoticeable that triggered the sequence. Slightly puzzling though.

Weird for some reason the game did not let me do anything, oh well I still have many playthroughs to do.

i loved that crew survival actually depended on how much i screwed around. by the time i did the suicide mision, got to chakwas and she says "im the only one left. what took you?!" i was thinking, "err, maybe i couldve saved those 5 n7 missions for later...sorry"

There is a way to do Legion's loyalty mission without getting half the crew turned into a Reaper Smoothie.

You can actually talk to Legion, get his loyalty mission, do it, and then when you click on the star rmap next, the crew gets snarfed.

EDI will tell you, when heading to the Legion's mission, that you should take the shuttle, but brings up the star map anyway. I don't think this is a bug either. When it happened to me I went "uh-oh."

So you can stop her from being liquified? Good deal, my femshep is romancing her and my male Shepard was too. I really hope she lives for ME3. I love the way ME2 still killed off Shep even though my Shep survived ME1.

This was your problem. When you return from the IFF mission you need to go talk to Legion and get his quest before you click on navigation to go somewhere. If you have his quest, you'll be able to fly around the universe normally when you use the helm until its done. The crew wont get abducted. But if you don't have his quest, the abduction happens when you use the helm.

You fools! They took your crew to make you act all stupid and go though that gate! As the Patriarch on Omega said, if you wanna screw with somebody take their family so they will attack you all stupid! Thats exactly what the collectors did! woo!

That is true unless you already have every thing to take them down. Man the last mission was really fun.
