The devs have already said we have yet to see a female Turian. And it was pointed out they do not look just like the males. Remember Li from ME1, the Turian mechanic you meet right before you get the Mako on Noveria. Realistically speaking it's highly unlikely we'd be able to differentiate between a other species’ genders. Sure, we humans have those fleshy bulbs on the chest on one of the genders that combined with the anatomically correct armour we’re wearing in the future makes in generally pretty easy. But who here can tell if a cat or a fish is either male of female without checking the genitalia?
I’d say we’ve probably already seen turian and salarian females; we just haven’t realised it because BioWare didn’t draw attention to it. That or BioWare was to lazy to design more then one model for the species, but I like my other explanation as it’s more positive.
As for female Turians, the best thing is to just make one of the new squad mates in ME3 a female Turian. I'd love to have a female Turian Specter as a squad mate in ME3.
