Sorry if this has been posted, I caught it over at the main forums and wanted to share for those who stay at the Social boards.

This is the summary, and the piece that really caught my eye:

The press members at this event talked about the game all night. Dinner, Bowling, and the bus ride to and from was filled with chatter about the unique origin stories and how each of us had a completely different experience based on our decisions. The game was universally loved across the board - I can’t tell you how much that never happens. At the end of my 10.5 hours with the game, I had only uncovered 16% of the world. The sense of scale in the game became immediately apparent to me at this point. Whether Dragon Age: Origins holds up over time has yet to be seen, but I can tell you that, based on the time I’ve spent so far, Dragon Age: Origins is easily RPG of the year.

already read it, but didn't comment, I think, because the guy who made it was answering questions and I failed in thinking at one.

nice preview, but I didn't understand if he picked morrigan or not.

this is honestly the only review i ever really liked about a video game, ever.  It covered a lot and explained stuff clearly.

I kinda skimmed it, so as to not get spoilers myself. I mostly skipped his hands-on part where he's basically telling what happened, and only read his ending comments and beginning comments...all which excited me.

I think if you read the actual hands-on part he is basically narrating exactly what happened in his origin (Mage)...so yeah, I would skip that part..or just not read it.  I'm play a mage myself the first time so I definately skipped it.

Thanks for linking this NewYears, I too skimmed the actual hands on as like you, I'm going mage first and want to be suprised. It was certainly a very positive and reassuring write up that has me all the more excited to play, if that were even possible to begin with! SQUEEE! Image IPB

LOL thats a really good question, one I unfortunately don't have an answer for, though Besh might. Its funny you mention The Calling, I'm currently reading it as well, after going to two book stores earlier this week tracking down a copy, once I finished The Stolen Throne. Obsessed? Me? Yes yes I am! Image IPB

Image IPB Obsessed, me too.  I think I saw a previous post by you about trying to track down the book.  I had the same problem.  First I went to the store before the 13th, not realizing the book wasn't out (thanks to those pesky people who got it early online).  Then I waited til the 13th and realized none of the local stores had it still..and probably wouldn't for a bit..so I broke down that day and ordered it through Amazon...got it this morning..here at work..and am reading it here at work.  Sooo obsessed.  (Oh and yes I had previously read Stolen Throne..months and months ago..hehe.
