So i got the rod to get Shale but where do i go to find him now? any help would be great thanks

It's Haentaach or something like that, the map icon shows a golem.

Well i reloaded and re did the first part of the quest and i still dont see any place to travel like any of you have described am i missing something?

same problem here. Got the rod but no place to go bring it to on the world map. I'll try again later with a previous save.

I have the same problem. The lcoation of Shale on my World Map is not there. I already spoke to the merchant and got the control rod. Oh well....

read ur quest log, it straight up tells u where to go

Yeah but the zone we need to travel to is not on the map at all is what we are saying about it

I guess it's a matter of what platform you have. I have a PS3, and the town where Shale is (Honnleath{sp?}), showed up on the map as it wa supposed to. SW corner of the world map, just S of Redcliffe, IIRC.

I am playing on the PC version. The first part of the quest worked fine talked to guy got the controlling rod then when i leave that zone there is no new zone to travel to go get shale

Maybe you ended the conversation with the rod guy too early. Go back and talk to him, make sure you're asking about where to use it.

Is he supposed to give you another quest? becaue i dont get a new one it just says quest complete and in my log there are no new ones regarding Shale. Only in my complete quest log does it mention him or where he is.

Oh no I sold the rod!!! I didn't know what it was for just saw that it was like for a mage or something and sold it, is there any way of getting it back??? Otherwise that means I have content that I cannot use!

Use the buyback feature from the vendors.  That's what it's there for.

I reloaded a previous save and it still doesn't work. I got the rod and still no location on the map. So much for the free DLC. What a load of bull.

Are you using the PC version aswell Futs? cause our problems sound exactly the same

On a related issue, what's a good level to go find Shale? I'm level 7 and every time I head towards the village I get ambushed by a pack of wolves that I can't seem to defeat. The village's name is Honnleath BTW, and it's in the Bottom left corner of the map.
