Yup. Retail and regular/standard PC version. Patched to 1.01. No village of Honnleath before and after patching.

Having the same problem too... Not sure why, but the town isn't on my map.

I actually played the PC verison and I got Shale perfectly fine. I do try to spend time talking to the NPC and asked him a bunch of things. Not sure if that matters. Sometimes when I play and finish a quest, it takes like 10-20 seconds afterward for the quest to "update" so maybe you just need to wait a little at the merchant place. Hope that helps.

I am playing on PC and found Shale without problem...he is frikkin hilarious!!

Worked fine for my PC Steam version too. I had only done the other DLC before getting him, though.

I'm actually having trouble with Shale though.



Ive used the rod, nothing happens and it tells me to look around the town. And ive been to the bottom of the basement and i can see the people behind the magical barrier, but i cant seem to find anything else for me to interact with. Nobody for me to talk to, and i can see no way to get the barrier down.



Does anybody know what im missing, am i being an idiot and completely missing what i should be doing ? Cheers in advance for any help

I got him just fine, got the rod, told me where to find him, went and found him, etc..

Talk to the people on the otherside of the barrier.

Got a feeling my version may be bugged then :S because i dont have the option to talk to them, and no cut scene is initiated

I completed on the PC with no problems. I did Lothering, Warden Keep, and then Stone Prisoner. In that order.



You dont need to be any certain level to go there, the game toughness goes up with you as you level.

Yes i do i have DAO CE which has the: Stone Prisoner, Blood dragon armor, Bergen's Honor, Final Reason and Grimoire of the frozen wastes.
