The biggest revelation for me however was when speaking with Aria T'Loak about her past before Omega. She is very tight on details, and when you finish the conversation with minimal information she simply tells you "Better luck next time".
Well that set off a huge alarm in my head. Those were the same words sent to Wrex after the final confrontation between him and his Asari commando friend Aleena. That's right, Aria T'Loak IS Aleena!
Or at least that's the theory. Immediately I wanted an option to ask Aria about Wrex, to see if my theory was correct.
THAT just blew my ^&#@ing mind. Well done, this is news to me and makes perfect sense.
^this, never caught that at all:blink:

Come on, didn't EDI earn your trust during the Joker/EDI sequence? For half the game I was wondering if EDI would turn against us (probably against her will), but it turned out that she was a true member of Shepard's crew.
Its the Illusive man that im worried about, he is a control-freak. I trust the EDI, but since she is a piece of software. He definatly has to have some control over her yet, just waiting to unleash it on Normandy when Separd does not want to play by his rules in ME3.
- Either do as i say, or i i will let EDI selfdestruct the Normandy.

Take the Tali romance, for example. For those of you who completed it, I wonder how many of you caught the subtle change in Tali's voice just before she kisses you. Think about it, she speaks entirely through her mask, so it always has an electronic quality. But when you take her mask off those last two or so words she says are completely natural. The first time in the entire game we hear her "real" voice. The change is so subtle most people wouldn't even realize it.

Here's something totally unambiguous: according to Galactic News Shepard's mom's a serving admiral in the alliance. As long as you aren't an orphan anyway. Can we go meet mommy in ME3?
That'd be a bit unfair on non-Spacers, don't you think?
EDIT: And yes, to me it seems a pretty good bet that Aria is Aleena. All the pieces fit, unlike most of the crazy theories we hear around here. As for the bartender being Liara's father - I think not.
If you talk to her about patriarch she says "He's not the first Krogan I've pissed off..."

She also says that sometimes its better to disappear than to be forced to kill someone when asked about her past. Wrex and Aleena were friends before being forced to fight eachother.Series5Ranger wrote...

Problem with this theory is Aria seems to be talking about a Solarian when she mentions its better to disappear. "Solarians have short lives, but their families don't"
I like the possibility of her being Wrex's old rival, but that particular conversation bounces between enemies alot.

Aria, however, you have to work at it just to get her to say anything more about her past other then "none of you damn business". Even then she keeps things obscure at best. Seems kinda pointless to reveal so little after so much, doesn't it? Seems to suggest there's more to it then that.
All of that is topped off by her saying "Better Luck Next Time". Really who else even says that? It's just not the sort of thing you would ever expect her to say.Seems like something intentional, a clue as to her real past.
Certainly this is nothing more then speculation, everything here is. But the evidence certainly points strongly in that direction, even if it's all circumstancial.

As far as I remember, EDI even says something along these lines herself in (or shortly after) the scene where she is connected to the Normandy. Something like that even if she wanted to go rogue she couldn't because there are still certain Cerberus protocols inside her programming that prevent her from doing so. It seems quite likely that at least one of those protocols might force EDI to turn against Shepard if TIM thinks it necessary. Hmm... interesting thought if EDI would start to "evolve" like the Geth and you have to solve a friendship check with her to override the protocol.Aggressor01 wrote...

I also didn't realize the thing about Aria until i read it here on the forum (ME1 is quite some time behind me so I didn't remember every little bit) but the more I think and read about it the more I think that theory to be entirely credible and likely.
