Thats a pretty big assumption. Considering Alistaor and Loghain are total opposits and Anders is pretty much as far away from Loghain as you could possibly get, I don't see the problem even if this WAS the case (and I don't beleave it is.)

I am wondering your guys' opinions on my latest "theory". Ok, in the queen of the black marsh video there is a male black haired companion which has been though to be a warrior (with his medium armor). Now for the question...do you think he could be the same companion as the light armor wearing rogue in the children video? Here is my thinking. They extended the talents of rogues and made, let's say duelist talent, it able to use dex or cun instead of strength to use heavier armor than light. This would allow rogues to use medium armor, which really has been left in the dust compared to the other armor classes.
As for why he was wearing medium armor (no helmet) in one trailer and wearing light armor (with helm) in another, I just think Bioware is screwing with us. I would do the same thing. Also I think this may be possible with the female elf mage in the original trailer and the female in the ander trailer. That elf mage could be an arcane warrior. If you look carefully and start adding everything together it start making sense. They have alot of companions with helmets on and off both in and out of combat.
I really am hoping that their PC character is one of the toons we are thinking is a companion. Like the toon we are set on is Oghren is the PC and the old favorite is in the juggernaut set.

Children screen № 3. I thougt at first that there were two identical screens (1 and 3), but the difference is in shown companions. There is PC in front fighting...m...the child, Anders in the background and she is mostly hidden by PC. But you still can see her head with pointed ears, top of magi's robe and a staff in her hand.

Of course, it's possible that no one we've seen (with the exception of Anders) is actually a companion. They could just be slotting in their own PCs using the toolset to show some of the footage. That could explain Oghren in every shot - one of the devs built him, obviously, and he's easy to insert in party slot B for the trailer footage since he's already a "finished" character. Plus, look how much conversation it generates that they keep showing him but don't confirm him.

I find it irritating that everyone believes Oghren is coming back if it hasn't been verified by Bioware. Seriously. If they keep such tight leash on the information about the returning character, why splash him/her all over a promotional video. I really hope this is just some other dwarf so that everyone will be perplexed, and potentionally disappointed, when the expansion does come out.

Erm... I thought I gave a detailed description on WHERE. Sorry, English is not my native:crying:  It's this screen (click to enlarge)


And though she is mostly hidden, it's definitely SHE, judging by the model.

And as to returning character, I think it's variable. 3-4 possibilities, perhaps, depending on your decisions and/or approval. More is difficult to introduce, I think.

Or maybe it is Oghren, but he is not a full time companion (much like those wardens were at the begining of the game).

Orrrr, maybe that is just the standard companion for an Orlesian Grey Warden. As Alistair appears to be king. The ones who played DA and killed Alistair or have put Anora on the throne can't have him as king, obviously. So these trailers might be the default canon ending.

Yep it would be pretty cool to have her as a potential companion character.  In fact I'd love to have a Dalish mage as a companion character in general, just because their background is so different from the Circle mages and apostates.  Could make for an interesting and different mage character then those seen so far

And Velanna's first appearance in her trailer is the same animation when you choose Morrigan in, what I call, the party menu... I wonder if she is romance-able though...
