So after playing through ME2, I decided to fire up ME1 again so I could have a proper save to import later on. As I recall, back then you only had to register your copy of ME1 with Bioware in order to be allowed the download of Pinnacle station. I both registered and downloaded the addon and played through it, although I'm pretty certain I no longer have the key to the addon (if there even was one). Is all that null and void now? All I get when I click the DLC button in the ME1 launcher is a redirect to the EA store, and all the links that used to go to various places on the old ME site are just dead ends on the new one. Is there some way to retrieve that key based on my registered copy of ME1, or did all those old registrations go out the window when the new Social site was established? It's not like Pinnacle Station is massively expensive or anything, it just kinda sucks to have to pay for it when I've already gotten it for free earlier.
Reinstalling Mass Effect 1 - I have to pay for Pinnacle Station this time?

You should still have access to your key from the Bioware site. Did you look?

Well, I tried, but I couldn't find a way to get back to the old bioware forums (and the associated account with all the registered games and keys). Eventually I just googled "bioware mass effect 1 registration", found the old forums, logged in - and there it was! I appreciate very much that they kept my key, and that the download link for BDTS still works, but it's still a little lame that I have to google my way there.
So problem resolved, nevermind this thread.

Aye. BTDS can be gotten from FilePlanet to, and I was trying to find the page where youd get your keys couldnt find or I would have linked it. Have fun.

For anyone else stuck in the same spot of trouble, try this: http://accounts.bioware.com/index.html
And if that doesn't work, just log in from http://nwn.bioware.com/forums/ and then go to "edit details" on the accounts page to find your registered games and associated keys.
