Could we please get a patch to fix these issues please?:D

  • I'm not sure why the tutorials in this game don't adapt based on NEW key binds like ME1s did.
  • Can't access the Journal/Squad/Codex sections by a single key anymore and instead must use the Esc menu to access them, nor can you hotkey weapons.
  • Can't change your mouse sensitivity, it only has three options for camera speed which does not affect weapon aiming.
  • No Anti-Aliasing support. ( Not bioware's fault? Engine doesn't support AA? ) -- you can manually force it through your gpu control panel, but it's a pain when you have to enable this for ME2, then disable it other games which you don't want AA
  • No Double-click support when selecting any menu options -- currently you must click the "ok/accept/back" buttons at the bottom
  • You can only run/storm in a straight line. -- so having the ability to move towards the left or right while storming. Example: W + Storm button + Strafe buttons (A & D)
  • Can't scroll text on codex, journals or any areas with text with mouse wheel - currently you can only click the up and down arrows, or drag the slider up and down.

Please add using the mouse wheel to scroll up/down, is really annoying having to click on the sidebar to move the text :(

You couldn't strade when in Storm Speed in ME1 anyways.

Mass Effect 2 uses the Unreal Engine Unreal Engine 3.5 I dont think it supports Anti-Aliasing (I think)

Double Clicking really is something i do miss though.

Can't we just make one huge bleeping sticky that explains that DX9 and UE3.x aren't compatible with AA. I'm sick and tired of every thread mentioning it. You'd think with all the console ports PC users have had to suffer through, people would know by now it doesn't work natively.

They should've had the ones porting ME1 do ME2.. I wonder if I would experience these freeze up issues then >.<; It also feels alot clunkier to navigate through space then it did in ME1 where I could just right clickt o get out, instead of pushing the bloody button.

The thing is they should have added the ability to storm and change the direction (on across all platforms) as well as other small PC touches.

1 point out of 7.

In real life, I don't think you just sprint in a straight line.
I didn't mean strafe (wrong wording), I mean running + moving in other directions.

So w + storm button + strafe buttons (A & D) to go towards the left or right.

I honestly can't see your point about sprinting. You are probably the only person I know who has an issue with it

I guess you've never played a game that allows you to sprint other than in a straight line.:o

I am really getting tired of us PC gamers getting shafted when it comes to games. Why do we get the dumbed down games. I say make them for PC with ALL of the fine grain settings that we are use to and them dumb them down for the consoles. I am really getting sick and tired of having to deal with a port from some console. I really think that the developers getting lazy. If I have to wait for six months to get the real PC version, NOT A port, of a game because they had to add all of the PC enhancements. Then I will wait. I hate paying 60 dollars for a game, only to find out it runs poorly on a high end gaming rig because it was direct port. the XBOX and PS3 are about 4 years old. That means that the games have to run on a 5 year old gaming hardware. When will the developers learn that it is best to build for the best gaming platform (pc), then take out what you don't need or can't have, Xbox and PS3. They have to learn that it is better to have something big and have to shave it to make it fix then to cut something too small and have to add to make it fix.

They should let Demiurge put on ME2 :P They did a great port, and the game acually works without freezing up!

So... does BioWare not care? They care to make and sell DLC, but when we request fixes that don't involve making them money they just shrug off.

When we wanted that glaring low resolution Garrus texture fixed in the first game, they gave us an actual technical reason why they couldn't do it, and for the most part I have accepted that explanation.. but here, with issues that actually affect gameplay and my ability to enjoy the game, they don't even make an excuse, they just ignore.

If Mass Effect 3 is just as dumbed down as this game is, I will not be purchasing it. They out sourced the port of the first game and the results were much better than this. Clearly BioWare begrudgedly made this PC version as a requirement because it can make them extra cash, not because they actually care. If this isn't the case, I would love to hear them say so, but I have no reason to think otherwise at this time.

I've only just got Mass Effect 2, but I agree with every single one of these points. The unability to run 'diagonally' (not strafe) and the lack of hotkeys for inventory, journal and codex is VERY annoying. It's too late to fix this for ME2, but I really hope they make a note of this and implement these features in Mass Effect 3.
