Can somebody please tell me where this ring is? I'm playing on PS3, my character is uploaded and I have all the available downloadable content for PS3 but no sign of the ring at all. Any ideas. Thanks.

Hi all,

Anyone else having a hard time uploading info from the CC to your profile?  I can log in fine, but when I hit upload it just sits there for a long time, then eventually get a timeout error (that is behind the focus and I can't clear).  I have to kill the CC app.  Anyone know if the servers are overloaded or anything?

Thanks,
Keith

Same here but on PC... no ring in sight in inventory or anywhere else...

It seems to have created a second profile uploaded the character there instead of the profile created by the PS3 game. You can see this by clicking 'click here to view this user's other player profiles' and you will see the PC game one and the PS3 one. Anyone know if it's possible to get the creator to upload to the PS3 profile?

Edit:  The ring has appeared now on all platforms after I got the first item from journeys :-)

'PC only'

Ok - read and take on board...It seem the Character Creator (CC) program no longer works for some as intended. This might be because the game has been released already and software was meant for use pre-release and bioware haven't updated something or other.

Why, its not important. As previously mentioned (all/most) available item downloads can be accessed here including the 'Lucky Stone'.

http://dragonage.wik...adable_Contents

Those items you are not entitled to will be restricted, however, many great items are available via this page if the CC doesn't work or you have missed other item 'deadlines'.

Once the file/files you want are downloaded find the file:

DAupdater.exe ( I found mine C:\\program files\\dragon age\\bin_ship)

Double click this exe folder, find the downloaded files/file with the 'select DAzip' option. Click on the desired download in the DAupdater.exe screen and then click 'Install selected'.

You should now have the items you want automatically in your game inventory. You can check if it has worked via the 'Downloadable content' option when u start Dragon Age Origins. Just Click on the tab 'Installed content'.

I hope this helps.

I almost gave up but then...I got it - finally! My problem was that I didn't succesfully upload the character and - even though the game let me import the created character - I had a diffefernt login to the account.

If you have the SAME EXACT login on BOTH accounts (Character creattor and Bio social) and UPLOAD the character - any new character will do - you will have the ring available for any and all of your characters in download content.

Goof luck.

I have all the things but it still doesn't show the lucky stone. Whenever I use the CC it goes to the game.

I'm missing something. I don't have an option to 'upload' a character from the CC to my profile or to the game. I can only import the character created from the CC through the main game itself, which doesn't seem to give the Lucky Stone. Where is this upload option in the CC??

Hello everyone. I have the same exact problem as most people in this thread. I really hope someone from Bioware sees this and gives us a satisfying answer/sollution. I create chars from the CC, upload them, start the game, i have the Blood Dragon Armor, i have the 2 DLC (Stone Prisoner and Wardens Keep) but i still cannot get the Lucky Stone. I mean i am reaching the line from calm and willing to try, to mad and willing to break my pc... ;)

Someone, anyone PLEASE help us out. We are paying good money to buy the game we love and things like this happen. I mean a friend of mine downloaded the game and has all DLC's along with the Lucky Stone, and i bought the collectors edition and still cannot get the Lucky Stone.

Is the fact that things would have been better for me if i downloaded everything instead of buying the game, what Bioware is telling me???

Thanks much for your time and i would appreciate an answer from someone at Bioware

I guess there's no way to get the ring for an existing character, is there? I didn't even know about the ring until today and I'm already at level 12 with my main.

Im in the boat that I created a toon in the CC, but there was no upload button in the CC, I saved the toon instead. I went into the game, and there it had an option to upload a toon, so I did. Im playing with it now, have all other DLC and am running the Collectors Edition. I have finished the origin story, Still no ring pop....  Do we ahve to wait about a week for it to come or are we screwed becasue it was a pre-launch promo only?

this is completely useless for mac users who do not run boot camp/parallels/etc...

bioware, you really need to have a mac version of this software. much like the PS3, you continue to show very poor support for anything that isn't MS.

Whatever account you used to upload with will get the ring attached to it for all platforms.

No codes or code entry needed.

Grab the game on any platform, login with the same account info and it'll be there waiting for you.

On consoles, in addition to being logged into Xbox Live or PS Network, you'll need to log into the Dragon Age Servers using the above mentioned account info. If you have other EA games with online features for your console, they all have a similar method to get news or other features going, so you can check that out if you are curious how it work before DA launches.

thats strange, I uploaded a character from the character creator when I was loged on through the game, I downloaded the early character creator before the game came out, and I never got a ring, don't mind much since I played the game, but still, never saw the thing by how you mentioned, ps I also have a EA account lol, this was for the pc, so don't know if theres a difference between the console and pc version, regarding this issue

I'm having a hard time with the CC, I think I installed a bad version (got it from gamershell, i didn't want to create an account on fileshare or whatever)

There was no text or anything, so I had to just guess where everything is, but I can't figure out where the submit character button is, could someone help me with that? I'll try reinstall it from Atomic and see if that works first.

nevermind, the creator simply doesn't work for me. I'll just have to do without... sigh.

Now, how exactly do you upload your characters you make? I don't exactly see a upload button anywhere. Only a "online profile" button.

I have the answer! When creating a character in CC at the end of the character creation process when it says SAVE, under your characters portrait, there is a upload button. Press that and upload your character in DAO. The lucky ring will be in your DLCs. If you just save ur character and dont upload you wont get the ring. Hope this helps.

I made my character with CC, but when i tried to upload it, this message appears: "your online profile storage has reached the maximum number of files allowed by the server"

How do i delete this files from my profile?

Edit: I solved the problem

well I know this is an OOOLLLDDDD post but I barely picked this game up this week FOR THE PS3
and i created an ea bioware account ON THE PC with the same email as my psn login email,
then I downloaded the cc ON THE PC
then i logged in through the cc
then i created a char
then i saved it
then i uploaded it
and then i saved it again just for good measure
then I waited like a day and a half and im just not seeing the ring any where in game
btw im on PS3
playing the ultimate edition of the game
i start up the game
I allow the game to load and "and check EA Bioware servers and connections" \\
at which point im logged in  with the SAME email as my psn
and i have the boxes checked in my options that allows ea to connect to my online profile  and upload game data and what not
and then I check my DLC list and the ring just doesnt show
niether as purchased nor available for purchase or download
i start up my game and check my inventory and its not there niether
the first time i did it i did it THEN started a save file and it didnt work that way either
can any body verify IF this has EVER actually worked at ALLon the ps3?
and if so how recently?
can anybody tell me what im doing wrong?
or if the servers just arent synched for it anymore?
sorry for the long post just looking for some help
thanks

I've downloaded the character creator and uploaded a character and it shows up on the site. But it won't give me the ring. Does anyone know what the problem is.
