Jack is a rebel, and she breaks the mold that most squadmates fit in. She will even call you a **** if you are too nice when you first meet at the Purgatory. No other squadmate would even fathom insulting Shepard. And she's not just some total badass with no depth. If you talk to her often she shows a softer, vulnerable side. And if you do the romance plot with her she gets very emotional.
Before ME2 was released I think people thought Jack was in the game to appease simple-minded violence enthusiasts. Like she was a female version of Marcus Fenix. But that is far from the truth. I think there is a lot more depth to Jack that could be explored in ME3. She is my favorite character between both Mass Effect games. I would be incredibly bummed if she was not part of your team in ME3.
