EB Australia still have the collectors edition in stock. http://www.ebgames.c...tors-Edition-PC

That one has the tin case and cloth map. Get a refund from gamehead.com.au and buy that one.

It seems Australia got the "Asia version" of the Collector's Edition, all except EB games and New Zealand.

You know, you really shouldn't work this hard to get a map and tin case. Believe me, they aren't worth it. The map is slightly bigger than a regular mouse pad.

oh i'm happy with the metal case, the map is lacking i'll agree but I love my extras so i don't regret it.

I totally agree I shouldn't have to work this hard.  It's just a cloth map and metal case!  Surely EA could just send them to me?

If they're not worth it, why did they advertise them?

Your not along drakicorn, UK here and was told by everyone under the sun we would not get the DLC as digital distribution customers would get it as compensation in place of the metal case and map we were to receive.

We didn't get the metal case, we didn't get the map, we didn't get the DLC, just another rip off.

It'd be more difficult for them to send you a map and tin case than a whole new game oversea, and sending you a whole new game without clear evidences, proof of purchase, proof of purchase return and a looong and patient reviewing would be against their protocols.

Since EA Australia does not actually supply the retailers with the games, they won't have the stuff either. The only retailer in Australia that has the map and tin case you want is EB games, and I don't know why they'd rip one of their package open and send the parts on gamehead's stead.

I ordered my version from EB games Australia after a perusal of their website made it clear they were the only retailers in Australia who were selling the Collectors Edition with both the cloth map and steel case.

http://www.ebgames.c...tors-Edition-PC

I had to pay $129.95 for this, and it is one of the only times I have bought from EB games because of their exclusive cloth map + steel case.

I have seen that other retailers (such as JB HiFi) list a 'collectors edition' as available from them, but they also list exactly what their 'collector's edition' contains - and there is no mention of either the cloth map or steel case.

I hope your situation is resolved and that you do end up with the items you want. I know some people didn't like the cloth map, but I love mine and am glad I bought the CE.

As others have said, I'd try for a refund from the retailer you bought the game from and grab the collectors edition from EB games.

Well, if you only want a shiny case and a cloth map, by all means, don't spend the extra on the collector's edition, it isn't worth it for the shinies. But, IMO, it's definitely worth the extra cost for the DLC. (Shale and Blood Dragon Armor yo!)

Shale and the Blood Dragon armor have nothing to do with the CE.

It would have been much easier overall if they hadn't created misleading advertising in the first place!

Yes rectifying it might cost them a little.  But I think they're largely responsible for the misleading advertising, which is illegal.  It might be cheaper to rectify the situation for me that than to deal with the fallout from the formal complaints I might have to make if it's not sorted out.  (Or, it might not be cheaper... even though I think I'm in the right, I might still not get a good resolution.)

I expect many (most?) consumers are not mislead about the Collector's Edition - if I had bought it in a store I would have been disappointed but not mislead as to the material or contents of the box.  But I pre-ordered, from an online retailer, and was mislead.

Thanks.  Yes if I had known I would have bought from EB too, but I didn't see their site nor their claim to be "exclusive" until tonight.

The only reason i did my pre order Collectors Edition from EB games Australia & paid extra was the map metal case & the amount of extra bonus content

it only took a small amount of research (read the descriptions on each site) to work out that other retailers such as GAME etc were advertising a plastic case no map & not much in the way of bonus items

As a caveat to that, UK retailers claimed up till less than two weeks before release that NO DLC was in the regular edition, it was only in the CE.

looks like it is EA's fault for not releasing it in Europe.

I would have bought the special edition if there was one available, there was not so I have the normal edition, seemingly I am better off with that.
