I loved the part when you can ask Legion why he chose to wear a piece of Shepard's old armor to cover up a hole.

Shepard: That doesn't explain why you used my armor to fix yourself.
Legion: ......There was a hole.
Shepard: But why didn't you fix it sooner, or with something else?
Legion: ......No data available.

It showed that he (or they, technically) can be a bit sentimental or emotional, you could hear it the way he tried to avoid the real question by being vague ("There was a hole.") and in his pauses before he spoke almost like he was stuttering.  Also, his face made some weird robot folds or movements that they didn't really make before, like he was blushing. Made him seem kinda human (or organic, anyway).

That in itself made me like the geth. Before that, I was kinda feeling Legion's story, but staying skeptical about it, after all the Geth I had to mow down in Mass Effect 1. Although I was skeptical about trusting EDI for the whole game, but the part where she made a joke with Joker when he was going to the engineering deck in the Normandy had me lol'ing and I felt good about her after that, even though it was late in the game. Trusting machines just seems like it could be a double-edged sword. Although I guess I've never seen a true robot (not counting Bender) lie before.

When I got Legion I wanted to question him to see what that piece of crap knows.   All I wanted to do was question him and then deactivate that turd again.

So I start talking to him and he comes off with some "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap.  And says that there is a virus that will wipe them out.  So I am thinking "good" they deserve it for all they did with the Quarians and how what they did to Tali's father.  There was no way in Mass Effect I was going to let him be a teammate, especially after my BFF just got court marshaled for treason for Geth parts.  I didnt trust him and think he only wants to be friendly now just to save the Geth.

And low and behold the freak'n shield came down and he was out.  I didn't want that.  So after regaining my composure from yelling at the TV, I reset my game to before I went to talk to him.

Needless to say I beat ME2 with him still deactivated.   Now with all of these posts praising Legion, I am wondering why no one sees it as a scheme...

That's strange, what if it was the other way around and legion was a Quarian. I believe your distrust is misguided If you listen to a recording of when a Geth asked a Quarian if it was alive you might actually see why the Quarians were unjustified and this war makes no sense if the Geth and the Quarians worked together the universe would be better place.

The Heretics proved they wanted to kill you they shot at you trying to do so Legion has done no such thing. technically you don't know him so dismissing him so eagerly because of your misconceived notions of the Geth in ME1 is just ignorance at it's best.

Sorry, to be mean like that you were entitled to not use Legion and not learn about this stuff but I believe it is in the Galaxies best interst to work with Legion and the "True Geth"

Really, OP?

They defended themselves because the quarians unknowingly created an AI lifeform. They defended themselves and it appears Reapers highjacked some of them just like the rachni.

Think of the geth like any other lifeform, they're different but they're alive.

Kinda makes me wonder how different people's thoughts on the geth would have been if they were genetically artificial lifeforms. Composed for a purpose, labor and the like, and they rebelled wanting to find their own way towards their ideal enlightenment.

Umm, no.
The virus will convert the geth to become heretic geth and they'll wage a war on organics... So you could be dooming the entire galaxy because you're mad at a machine that hurt your "girlfriends" feelings. Nice try OP.

So it's the geth's fault that the quarians pre-emptively attacked them as soon as they began to develop self awareness? I can understand you being suspicious of Legion but stop feeling sorry for the quarians. Tali's father got what he deserved, he was ignoring safety protocol and toying with advanced and potentially dangerous technology. He deserved what he got in the same way that a negligent engineer deserved his bridge collapsing on him while he drives over it.

He had it coming :P. I don't hate Tali but the OP has clearly become blinded by his love for her that he isn't seeing any sense whatsoever. Nobody is in the right, the quarians are just as bad as the geth, everyone should at least acknowledge it.

Legion is probably the most awesome character in ME2.

Take him with you to Tali's loyalty mission and you will see who the bad guys are.

Firstoff, the OP is a moron for not activating, quite possibly, the most crucial character in the series.

Second, I'm laughing right now, because since the OP didn't activate Legion, no one stopped the heretics from using the virus on the true geth. Congrats OP, all geth now follow the Reapers, so think about how many geth that you fought in ME1, okay? Now, multiply that number by about 20.

That is how many geth you will need to fight in ME3.
EPIC FAIL.
