For me, it was the spectral templar(?) booting the gate open.

Out of all the previews for Awakening thus far, what single instance caught your attention the most / has you wondering the most?

That was probably just an Arcane Warrior.

Also I am very curious to how large Amaranthine will be consider what little I know...is it the tiny peninsula that leads to a huge lands mass for us to explore in the top right of the map.. or is that an island? I don't know but I'm sure someone can answer that most likely foolish question. I thought Amaranthine was a huge landmass to the north but even if it is how much will we get to explore???

I can't wait to see what tweaks they made to the combat(if any). I know that has little to do with the trailer but from the trailer it seemed like they might of attempted to make the High Dragon fights more interesting by trying to stop casters & archers from spamming abilities/spells from afar(the spinning balls of electricity..i think). That was a huge assumption but not just that anything really to make the game more challenging. I love Dragon Age, I'm on my 4th play through & well without chain chugging health potions or using exploits I still find the game really easy on Nightmare even with a difficulty mod. So I am hoping they will spice things up even in the smallest ways to give us more of a challenge. There is more reward in it, for me at least.

That has an affect on what decisions I carry over into the game. Nothing else has me so curious because I can worry about those things once I've already started Awakening.

Read the book by Gaider, "The Calling". Explains him more in depth.
Also, it's a shame Duncan isn't alive because Duncan is familiar with them.

The only thing I'm really curious about is how they will handle the different endings from Origins, specifically the self-sacrificing one. If it will be handled with some ressurection, or if it will be ignored...

I believe they already said that if you self sacraficed, you'll need to make a new Grey Warden, who will hail from Orlais... correct?

Likewise.
I'm also interested in whether my Orlesian warden will get to meet Loghain.
Once the preliminaries are done with, I expect it'll be the usual things that get my attention - plot, companions, characterisation, the quality and quantity of the areas - also, I'll be hoping that Bioware has improved on the dungeons.

I need to read that book, but I first need to find it. Apparently it is very rare in the Netherlands (just my luck). x.xTaxonomical wrote...

I'm very curious about the new companions and possible romances.
And that armor Alistair is wearing in the Anders trailer... I really hope you can get that (without having to kill Alistair for it).
