Okay, so I have been posting for a long time in threads where people aren't happy with things about the game, and I've almost entirely been arguing from the point of view that every change from mass effect 1 is a good one. (Except for the lack of a F/F relationship, but that's a whole different topic.)
I've spent the most time arguing for the new ammo system, I think that it works well with the lore and benefits gameplay a lot. There have been several other things, but that's not what this topic is about.
I do think this game is incredible. It's my favorite RPG I've ever played by far, but for the sake of equality, I think I should mention the minor gripes I have about this game. Otherwise I'd be a little dishonest. Keep in mind none of these are major gripes, just little things.
1. When I die and press A, the option to automatically reload, it never picks my autosaves. It picks the last time I saved manually, which means I usually get sent back to the normandy. I have to sit through the loading screen to bring me to the normandy, and then sit through it again to load up my autosave. It's a weird technical issue, and I got around it by training myself to press X so I can manually load my autosave. I'm kind of curious why this is and if there's something I can do to fix this, as it is my biggest gripe about the game. (Since i play on insanity and I die a lot while I'm learning how to play a class well. :3)
2. The unskippable first 10 minutes before I make my face. Now, this is the most epic cutscene in any game I've ever played, but sometimes I just want to play with the face creator, and this heavily discourages that.
3. This is related to 2, but when I load my ME1 characters into the game, I don't actually get the chance to change their hair. I would have to create their face from scratch in order to do that, which is something I wouldn't do.
4. I can't take my class skill off my keybinds. Sometimes it would be nice to have lift/throw/warp or something like that, for a change. This is a VERY minor gripe because the class skills are all very useful and most of the time I'd leave them keybound anyway.
5. The lack of F/F romance. Again, minor gripe, but it'd be nice if the option was there.
6. I think some classes don't have to worry about defenses enough. The infiltrator is the worst offender here. I don't think barriers/shields reduce sniper damage nearly enough. There should never be a situation where a headshot takes down a shielded target in one hit, except for possibly with a properly evolved cloak in effect. Or at the very least, sniper rifles should run out of ammunition a little bit faster, so that a player is forced to change it up a little.
The problem with this setup is that it makes the other classes seem MUCH weaker when they do have to change up their strategy to deal with specific defenses, and it encourages very simple non tactical twitch based play. When someone who's played an infiltrator goes to another class, they try to find a single ability to spam on everything and end up frustrated when it's not nearly as effective.

I'll add some more of these when I think of them. Just keep in mind these are all minor gripes, and don't detract much from the game for me. The only one I'd really push for a fix to is the first one, the rest I can cope with pretty well.
Some minor nitpicks from a huge fan.
