I think Joker would throw up the automatic sarcasm defense shields, but Shepard and Joker have a bit of a history by now. What would he have to fear?

He's 30 and he flies top secret spaceships for a living. I seriously doubt the situation would be new to him.

I know! I was just trying to beat any naysayers to the punch, they tend to like jumping in here and telling us the same thing over and over again! I do see him playing most of it off with sarcasm, but I wonder exactly how he'd react when he realizes that sarcasm and dry humor won't save face any longer! xD

I doubt he's a 40 year old virgin, but he was really focused in flight school... it could really go either way, but I don't think he's they type to be scared of it.



Most fear in that situation comes from worrying about what others are going to think, or feeling like you are going to look foolish, and I don't think he's too focused on that - if it happened I think they'd just be in the moment, and it would feel right.

Actually he doesn't look that fragile in ME2... He falls on the floor that one time, fires an assault rifle... without breaking anything.
Is he really sick at all?

I'm an advocate for pointing that out, trust me. xD People are just insanely...ignorant. He still has Vrolick's, reason he still limps around most of the time and it's still easy for him to get some stress fractures from over-working his body, but he really isn't made of glass and with everything that goes on in ME2 it's obvious.

Their is a way to make it work... maybe a biotic barrier or a kinetic barrier? My femshep is a biotic... Tho sometimes I wish she was an asari that make it even easier on joker, no contact required for an asari.

Its his lower half that didnt develope correctly.

Been lurking here for awhile now, just decided to state my support!

Am I the only one who thinks that Joker would be scared ****-less if Shep were to voice feelings for him? I mean, has he ever been with a woman before anyway?

And Joker rocks!

Oh, I'm sure he's gotten laid before. Probably in the context of a relatively serious relationship, seeing as there's a fair amount of special considerations that have to be taken into account... I kinda doubt that Vrolik's lends itself well to one-night stands. But I'm sure Joker's got a romantic history, just like Shepard (at least in my head-canon). I think he might be kind of confused more than anything, at least at first. Like "wtf is Commander-****g-Shepard hitting on me?"

I just recently got the Art of Mass Effect book and let me tell you, some of the outfits in there are super freakin' awesome! I wish they had used some of them for casual wear choices in ME2. There's a few interesting concepts I'd like to try, especially with Joker. I picture him in some kind of piloty casual wear. Also, I don't know if anyone's seen the Art of Mass Effect book, but one of the first pages has some stylized original conceptual art for Kaidan, Ashley, Anderson and Joker and lemme tell ya, I'm kinda glad they didn't stick with the original design for Joker (though he still would have been uber badass). He was originally supposed to have a sickly look, be on the thin side and he had blond hair and blue eyes! xD

The artbook I have is actually from the first game! The artbook for the second one is so tiny! I hope they release a fuller version sometime in the near future! (at least I hope that the Collector's Edition for ME2 was just a small bit of the full artbook.)
