The reason why I think romances end up with a "do it" scene is probably because you could die and the last thing they want to do is be with Shepard which is very cute and romantic IMO. I mean even kaidan says something of the lines of "the only thing that matters is us and that may never come around again" (i know not word for word but its close lol) SO for a joker mance I would like him to say something like.



Joker: I'm not losing you again... well not unless I get something to remember you by....



Joker gets a mischievous look on his face as shepard raises an eyebrow at him.



Shepard: huh? (or) Joker?



Then he kisses her at first she is all shock but then she gets into it that cuts to final mission... yeah I would like that and then have a good ending with the pair. I could see it.....

Maybe Mordin can try again to fix the cure for Vrolik's syndrome. That way Joker can get some action without breaking any bones.

But I think the buildup of the relationship is the most important and if Shepard and Joker decides to "get physical", that's good, but I want a romantic build-up and not something that's like

"Yo. Let's do it."

"Okay."

Though the perfect oppurtunity for Joker to confess his feelings would be if he felt he were to lose her again, i.e another suicide mission towards the end, but i would prefer more development

Maybe shep could have an accident, not death again, maybe a bit more serious than the first beacons' effect, and the worry could give each of her possible LI's a kick up the butt.

Or maybe she could go DA style and get abducted while her companions come after her

It would be really nice to see Shepard being rescued by the team or LI and not always the other way around.



Or just a scene where Shepard is being injured (like the end of ME1) and people worrying about him/her.



Shepards jump at the end of ME2 was quite close - this could be an initiating moment for Joker to realise what Shepard means to him.

That is an awesome point, that would be a perfect starting point to Joker realising his feelings!

Ye! That would be great if that's the point where he realizes how much she means to him. Or maybe when the commander died in the beginning of ME2 but Joker remained silent about it (Like Tali who actually liked Shepard already in ME1).

What happened at both scenarios should not be left un-discussed!

I have the feeling, that Joker already shows in ME2 that he missed Shepard during these two years.



He says during one of his comments (if you stand behind him and wait) "Two years and everything hits the crapper. Teach you to die on me." That always soud very personal to me, as if he has still his problems with Shepards death, even now where Shepard is back.



And he says that the past two years were horrible - but he already spent some time during this timeframe with Cerberus and flying again - so I think it is more the loss of Shepard and/or the danger of the reaper invasion and the reaction of the council/alliance to this that made him feel so bad.



I just loaded a previous save game and after Horizon, if Shepard tells him, that she spoke with Kaidan and ended it, he responds with something like "oh good, because I was not looking forward to your mood if it went badly" and "there is a reason why I am not dating the crew" - I cannot help but always interpret it like he is not dating the crew because of Shepard (but now she is free again) - ok I suppose this is just what I like to hear, but even if it was not meant in this way, there is room for interpretation

I died a little inside when I heard him say that for the first time and my friend who was talking with me by Xbox LIVE (yes I play on the xbox360 since my computer is crap but I got it from school so) and was all like
"HOHOHO! YOU GOT OWNED! No Joker romance for youuuuuuuuuu~"
But... maybe he's just making a shy and careful approach to see Shepard reaction and thoughts to that statement :3

Yes that would fit to Joker - making jokes about his feeling as well and to give ambiguous comments to see how Shepard reacts on it.



I think he would only directly talk about his feelings for Shepard if he can be sure that Shepard has feelings for him as well - it is like a self protection for him and I suppose it would be to awkward for him if he admits his feelings to Shepard and would be rejected.



So - testing the grounds would be easy and if Shepard does not respond on that he can claim it as a joke or that it was meant the other way.

Well look how awkward it gets for Shepard when he/she tries to pursue a relationship with Samara xD

I think that's why the characters in ME flirt so much and are a "sex plz" attitude to see if the other are attracted to them.

You flirt back and forth with them until someone takes a step forward. Maybe Joker just doesn't want to flirt unless he knows that there's a chance because... rejection sucks D:

LIke why does my shepard act all weird around jacob and how come every time my shepard agrees with wanting to hug garrus or say yeah I could date a bad boy some one has to assume she wants to get down with them?

I love the idea of Joker just sort of holding out on us until he's certain. Seems so like him! xD And the "Hey, let's do it"-syndrome is not to be joked about. It causes Shepards to have strange tastes sometimes. xD And I really, really hope we get a Jokermance.

I wonder if the Joker romance will be locked if you already romanced someone in the previous games OR maybe you had to romance someone or... Hmm... Need to do some extra playthroughs, long time until ME3 is released after all xD

Lol the friendliness. Maybe its easier to maintain with fewer people? Theres been a lot of bickering the past few days, i think ME fans are getting hungry for news! You hear that bioware? Feed your fans!

I made a quick attempt in FF at introducing Shoker, but its ruddy hard. Just doesnt feel right... Better than what we have in game though, which is nothing lol. Nothing to see here http://www.fanfiction.net/~namiran7

I can honestly say I know how that goes, its something I do that instinctivly myself. Every time I think about Joker and thing he does that I do its sometimes scarry how much like him I am. Hell if it wasn't for the internet's lack of identity I wouldn't say half the crap I say in here. Thoes that deal with me regulary only know the joking side of me and most if not all will never know anything beyond the wity oneliners and wise a**ed ness.
