Joker's not much for rules, but in ME1, fraternization could've gotten him grounded. And no matter how irresistible Shepard may be, there's no way he'd risk not being able to fly. As he's grounded by the Alliance in between games, however, no longer an issue.

Speaking of... update to Persephone Rising, though this particular chapter is sadly lacking in Joker.  He showed up in the one before though...

Been a good 2 months now since DLC aint it? Tis sad And still a year til ME3. Though plenty of time for the devs to pop in here and think 'By God! They're right! How could we not have had him as a romance from the start! {palms face}' xD

@Namira: *laughs* Yeah, but there is Joker on the way, as he has completely overwhelmed the muse. Must have more Joker! Everywhere! (It was mostly just a side post from the first comment, sorry. ^_~)

He is, I believe, the only character from the Normandy who absolutely cannot die, so I'm looking forward to some fun pilot times in ME3, even if my Joker-romance stays solely in the realm of my fanfic and fanart addictions. He'll obviously be around, and considering his popularity (and Seth Green's improv skills) I can't imagine they'd give him less dialogue.

I am always astonished, how many people are thinking that Joker should not be romancable because he has this disease - I mean, so everyone who is physically impaired should not have a romance, be loved or have sex? But being together with Tali is ok for them, but she has really a high risk of dying due to the romance.


Bioware said that there will be more fun with Joker and EDI in ME3 - so I think there will be more dialogue - hopefully more banter with Shepard, too. 

Do you have an idea if someone of the crew (maybe the mysterious co pilot) is flying the shuttle that brings Shepard and the team to planets and back again, or is it computer controlled/navigated? I think if there is someone flying this thing it would be funny to have a short scene or conversation with this person. Something like "Joker is flying the Normandy and I am only allowed to play chauffeur for Shepard"...

Yeah, it's kind of disturbing. I mean Joker can walk around and stuff, it's not like he's completely disabled, and having him not be a LI because of his bone problems is kind of ablist, tbh. He's a great guy and I'm sure bumping uglies could be arranged so long as it was a little tender. And, really, who's got a problem with that? c:

I dont get why so many people are like this, he is a really good friend, so why not add in some romance, doesnt mean there has too be sex, which seems too be what most people think when it comes too romancing the characters

None of those arguments hold water. I'm sorry. None. Especially the "Joker's bones are made of glass" one. He can friggin' walk now, and that itself is quite a load that your body has to carry around in of itself. I think he can handle having sex. Oh, and wait! Sex isn't the only thing that matters. OMIGOSHWOW.
Besides, then there's the whole "option" thing. If you wanna have just a "bromance," go for it! I mean, no one said you had to romance the guy. It's all about being able to have our choice. That's how it is in the real world, no? Sure, you get rejected sometimes (*cough*Samara&Mordin*cough*), but Shep is awesome, he/she can get anyone in my opinion. ^-^ Kudos to Fenris, Eliantariel, and Sorrel for representing.

Interesting thought. I have always kind of assumed it's an automated shuttle, since there seems to be no flight deck/cockpit to speak of. But there was that time when Jack was thumbing the switch on the bomb they planted in her cell, and when she pushed it Shepard started banging on the hull behind her/him really hard, as if to tell the pilot to go faster. So maybe there is a shuttle pilot...and he/she lives in the forward end of the shuttle because we never see him/her?

I had always assumed Shep was flying the shuttle, especially since there were a couple of Shep only missions .. sort of like the Captain's Cruiser or what-not.

I think this shuttle pilot is probably some trainee, like an Ensign who doesn't qualify for a big ship yet. Lol. I agree, whoever they are, they need a name.
