I want to know so I know whether or not I am going to buy 2 copies of the game and plan accordingly.

I've got ME 1 and 2 for PC and Xbox.

Well, I've got a digital download copy of both ME1 and 2, and hard disc copies of them, and Xbox versions.

... ... Yeah.

Basically I wanna know so I know if it's worth the £59 release price or not.

I want to make a Joker-faithful, but I don't know if I want to put at least 60 hours worth of gameplay into a character only to be disappointed bin ME3.

Pre-order? Sweeeeet! I'm going to pre-order no matter what they do. I have both PC and Xbox versions of both games as well, and will buy the PS3 versions when they come out (the boyfriend only has a PS3...maybe I'll make him buy them. Lol). I hope they put us out of our misery, because that would make me more than excited.

Some self-promotion here...my sig link doesn't work for some reason, but if you put http://www.fanfictio.../~diamondstar40 in your browser it will work. I just put up a new chapter in my Shoker fic, The Perfect Bluff...it's a 10 page doozy. :D I really like this one.

You mean for the supreme collector's edition thing? They're definitely doing that, but I have a feeling pre-orders for that won't be for a while. They don't even know what they want to do yet for the special item. If it's epic enough I would plunk down the money for it. :D Especially if we get a Joker LI...then I'd plunk money down for ANYTHING. (You hear, BioWare? Yes, I'm bribing...XD) I'm already plunking down around $700 for my custom Normandy mahogany model...just imagine, my wallet could be at your mercy!

Oh you think they've not decided yet? hmmm i wonder if i could find that suggestion thread....

What would you guys feel if, during the beginning of the third game, Joker introduces Shep to his new love?

I would plant red sand in their locker!

Holy crap $700 for a custom Normandy mahogany model?

@ Nam - I might be mad enough to needle her ass and open an air lock. Of course that depends on which personality of Shepard I have. She may fake smile and be happy and take her frustration out in the gym and slam her against the mat a few times in sparing matches.

That actually makes me wish they had an unarmed and sneaking thing we could do in game.

I would like bethesda to have a baby with bioware for that reason.... a mass effect you could do all the lil extra bits like pick pocket, steal sneak.... though maybe thats why mass effect isnt riddled with bugs like other games. Or bethesda could make a mass effect type futuristic game. Ooo then bioware could make a post apocalyptic like fallout :) But i just dreaming...

i think i might have a slight whine (figure of speech before anyone says anything) in the merchandise suggestion thread. Woman loving folk have Tali, Miranda, soon Morrigan. Where are the lithos for us men loving folk? Joker, Alistair, Kaidan... that'd even it out! If i do you guys need to come in and agree.. maybe they'll take note

I'd totally love more hand-to-hand and sneaking type things...since I'm the Krav/Karate/Kempo/Kung-Fu girlie. My Shep is also an Infiltrator, and sneaking would be excellent for her. :D

Ha, Trapper...my Shep would wipe the floor with that chick, since she's also a martial arts nerd. And yes, I want that model bad enough. I am paying for it about $100 at a time, and they only want $350 until the model is finished to my satisfaction...then I spend the other $350. Lol. I've also been hm-ing and ha-ing over a Normandy tattoo on my foot, but I'm not a needle person. At all. Can we tell that I love the Normandy (and her pilot) a bit too much?

Tattoo needles aren't as bad as shots. I can get tattooed all day but freak out over the idea of a shot that takes a few seconds. Tattoos are more irritating than painful, imo. Like someone scratching at a sore spot on your skin for a long time. Just chew gum while you get it...that seems to help me for some reason.

And show pics of your Normandy model once you get it!

Where are you getting the model from? and how big is it? I've been considering a Firefly model for a while but I don't have the room for one at my current residence and the Normandy wouldn't be a bad one to have either. Even better would be a scale of both the SR-1 and SR-2 to sit side by side.

@ Quaay - That makes me feel better. :) I'll have to try the gum trick...I've pretty much decided I'm going to do it, it's just a matter of me getting over my squeamish-ness. XD

@ Trapper - I'm going to factorydirectmodels.com, they do custom military and civilian airplane models and they do excellent work. Their normal price range for a custom model is way below what I'm spending, but I think licensing has something to do with how expensive this one is. It will be 17" long, which is pretty big, but I'm more concerned with the detail and quality than the size. It will come with it's own stand that says "Normandy SR-2" on it, as well. I'm pretty sure they could do the SR-1 and SR-2 scale to each other, but I have no idea what that will run. I'm only ordering the SR-2 in their standard 17" size, and that's already going to smart a bit.

The process will take a few months since it's custom, but I will try to get pictures up of it when they finish it. They'll send me a picture for final approval. As of now, I haven't placed the order...but after Christmas I plan to. The tattoo will probably be done before the model, in any case.

I work in a tattoo studio, I posted the N7 tattoo I've got on my wrist a page or two back.
If you want to get one, get one! You don't have to be a 'needle person.' You don't even see them. What you see looks very much like a pen.
Of course being tattooed isn't the most pleasant feeling in the world, but that doesn't mean it's going to kill you or even make you cry, either. If you're particularly fussed about pain, I suggest moving your tattoo from your foot to the cap of your shoulder. In my experience and in the opinions of quite a few customers, that's the easiest place to have done.

Now about if in ME3, Joker introduced us to some girlfriend of his, well... I love him enough to let him go. I want Joker to be happy. :D

Yeah, I saw yours and loved it. Kind of got me thinking that I ought to just get mine done, to be honest. I appreciate all the encouragement. :) Pain isn't really the problem with me...being in the military and a martial artist and all. ^-^ I'm just the wuss that has to mentally prepare before every shot, and can't look at the needle without freaking out. Though, I'm definitely comparing apples to oranges. Time to just woman-up and do it...can't wait for it to be done!

And that is so incredibly awesome of you...Joker's happiness does come first!

@ Nam - See, I can do the donating blood thing...probably because I have directly donated blood to a friend who needed it, and I got over it because I knew I was helping someone. But having blood drawn is different...I had a nurse bust the veins in both my arms once. It was horrible. Usually the people at the blood donating places do a much better job...

@Sky

Not to be nit picky but if your a military girl is it smart to get a tat? I mean that's defacing government property right?

I could agree with the tat comment though. Pain is no issue or at least I don't believe it would feel anything close to stomach acid leaking out of the stomach and causing issues. I never liked needles my self but whats more of an issue is debating how ready I am to have a permanent marking on my body.

I seriously, honestly hope you are being sarcastic. It doesn't matter what anyone's job is, they are not property of anyone else. :C

@Sky Just posted a review of your story~~~ READ MINE SOMETIME OKAY <3

@ Trapper - Tattoos are very much okay in the military. Many of us have them. The only restrictions are that they're not inflammatory, anti-American/military, and the like, and that they don't show while you're in uniform. Basically that means no tats on your forearms, and that's it.

@ Sorrel - We technically are "government property," but not in the same way a gun is. We can be written up for getting a sunburn so bad that it makes us sick, but that's basically your own fault. You give up some freedoms and liberties to serve in the US military, I'd imagine the UK's is similar. But, it's a small price to pay for knowing you have good job security and the sense of pride you get in what you do, IMO.

And, just saw your review. OMGOMG thank you!!! I needed something substantial! I will definitely make a point of returning the favor and putting your advice to good use. <3 <3 <3

I wasn't being sarcastic, as hard as that is to believe. I have always been under the impression that our troops (US Military) could not get a tattoo while enlisted. They could have one from before there service started and could get one after but the act of getting one while in active service was defacing gov property.

At least sky seams to have proved this wrong or they changed something in the last few years. For the most part what I heard was they just utilized the most practiced military rule of all time "Look the other way" when someone got a tat unless it was anti-US/military.

@ Sorrel - I'd love that! I like both helping and being helped. :) I'm writing a reply to your review, and I'm also reading through your stuff as well. I'll he writing a review soon.

@ Trapper - Yep, tattoos are totally fine. Once you get one you have to have it reviewed and approved, but it's a fairly painless process. There aren't nearly as many restrictions as someone from outside the military might think. You have to keep them in the loop...that's when you get in trouble, when you hide something from them.

Ah and its possible things changed too. Last time I had the topic come up I was like 15 or 16ish. You know it sounds a little out of order to get one then get it reviewed. Don't it make more sense to say "Hey I plan to get this..." then show them when its done to prove you got what you said?

This discussion is getting a bit outside the thread topic but I might PM you about it more later. I'd love to see what your tat looks like when you get it.

In case you haven't seen the news, the military has relaxed ALOT in the last 20 years -> dropping requirements, raising cut-off ages, allowing minor criminal records to enter, unmarried women with children etc because of the wars and loss of retention. They ceratinly aren't going to kick you in the quads for a tat in this day and age.

Back when my father (Navy) was an instructor at A school he would write up his students for tatoos, piercings, sunburns, injuries and not having the quarter's distance around their ears, but he was a whole arse if you catch my meaning.

Though all this talk about real life military got me wondering about if in ME time they still do boot camp and how Joker, Shep, Kaidan, Ashley would have been as new recruits... I remember them talking about Jump Zero in a manner that suggested all Alliance personnel probably went through there.

I think it would be intersting if they had all been on Jump Zero around about the same time, almost but not quite crossing paths when they were younger. I'd like to think a couple of my femSheps would have been able to make Joker smile ;)

@ Trapper - Feel free to PM me. We can get back to the Joker love now! :D

@ SarEnyaDor - Indeed! I'm actually delving into Jump Zero a bit with a story idea that popped into my head. I think it's territory that has lots of potential. I wonder what the Alliance's physical fitness requirements are, and how Joker met them...
