I know in RL when I wanted to apply to Annapolis at 18 I was too short and skinny to even be considered so applied to Harvard instead, and I wasn't breaking bones in the womb. I've got to assume that in the future, with all their cybernetic advancements, hardened weaves, shield generators and the like that they are less concerned with everyone being able to do x amount of sit-ups and more concerned with their mental discipline and determination.

I know Jeff is great at what he does but I have wondered about how he got to where he is. Hey BW there is a book idea for ya get a back story about the main characters for us. I know I can't be the only curious one!
Anyways I can't imagine military service being too much different than today. I mean wouldn't everyone still go through a boot camp? If you think about it all troops go through basic: Navy, Army, Marine and Air force. (did I miss any?) All start with a basic and then specialize to their branch and ...brain fart whats the term that's like departments in a company...
So do you think he maybe did so good in a pre-ap test that made someone notice him and made a special offer if he could be more outstanding that everyone he was guaranteed a pilot's chair?

They'd definitely have to have a physical fitness regimen. I mean, if they didn't do you think Shep would be able to jog everywhere carting around her mini armory? Lol. I'm pretty sure in the future, though, they'd be more willing to work with the disabled, so long as the talent and drive were there. (Which they definitely are in Joker's case.) They probably have a ton of waivers and stuff, and he probably takes a modified version of whatever the Alliance's physical fitness test is. (I can't imagine they wouldn't have one.)
@ SarEnyaDor - I wish I had the "too small and skinny" problem. I have to eat like a rabbit around PT test time. XD Even through all the advanced technology, Joker still had problems moving around. He is built, though, which makes me think that they do make him do some kind of PT.

Haha, I know exactly what you mean, Trapper. The Coasties do their own thing, and I respect them, but I see what you mean. If you really wanna do electronic warfare, give the AF a call. Lol. I could totally see the AF inventing EDI...lol. Don't worry about geeking out...you're on a Mass Effect forum. ^-^

Haha of course it will be colored in. However, I expect that I'll get it outlined first. All in the name of Joker love. ;D
Joker approves:

I hope that Bioware will see his potential as a LI in ME3 - but for sure we can expect some awesome flight maneuvers from him...
My Joker wishlist for ME3:
- of course Joker being a romance option for Shepard
- much more dialogue and real banter with Shepard
- a banter with the shuttle pilot and Dr. Chakwas
- some or at least one scene(s) without Joker wearing his hat (maybe given to Shepard as a token
- a Joker shower scene (ok I am dreaming.. but Shepard got one too)
- a happy Joker ending (together with Shepard)
So - what are your Joker wishes for ME3?

I shant wish for anything though. No expectations = No disappointment lol. But at the very least, a far greater role.

Too many things have said "Limited Edition" or "Collector Edition" and they were produced in the thousands and were available for... oh god like maybe a year or two and then some. At least in a few cases so I stopped taking game mfg's seriously when they say those things.
So when are we going to see a Joker one I wonder.

Ooooo! I forgot my Joker wish list. Since it's almost Christmas, I think making a Joker wish list is an appropriate way to pass the time.
- Obviously, a Joker LI, because I love him to death.
- Definitely more Joker dialogue, possibly another deal where we can control him...perhaps even the ship?
- I like Eliantariel's Joker shower scene idea. Perhaps painfully optimistic, but oh dear that would be good.
- A nice Joker litho and a big poster I can put on my ceiling. Boo-yah.

-Another crowning moment of Normandy/Joker awesome. Charged a Reaper with a frigate? check. Flew through an impossible mine/debris field and avoided almost certain Collector-inspired death? check. Top that, ME3 writers. Please?
-More dialogue
-Joker dialogue with people other than Shepard (and EDI)
Not that there can't be lots of EDI conversation too. But come one, doesn't anyone else wander up there to chat? Ever? The man's ridiculously entertaining. And obviously knows everyone aboard. And has opinions on all of them. When does he talk to them? Is it a secret? Does he have a comm channel he uses with everyone except Shepard? Do they have giant party-chats of the entire crew and just don't invite her? 'Cause that's mean. Mean I tell ya.
eta: The LI part goes without saying right? I mean, just look at that face... there is some serious Joker-inspired-plotting going on there. Chair looks pretty soft. Nice leather. I'm sure I can jump him in the chair without breaking anything...

Your Shep really seems hard to think about this...and of course the sight is really inviting
Which makes me wonder in which way the bridge can be separated from the rest of the ship. We saw in the beginning of ME2 that the bridge of the SR1 was separated and protected from vacuum by a barrier. Wouldn't it be nice to have this barrier non-transparent? Something like a privacy mode...

In slightly less NSFW news...
Anyone think Mordin's still working on treatment for Vrolik's?
Cause Ella's secretly much more interested in that particular throwaway
comment of his than the whole 'seeker swarm' thing. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png[/smilie]

But Bethesda and Bioware should just have lots of techsex and create gamebabies... Nao. pl0x.
Secondly, yay for geeky tats. You all know I want them.
Thirdly, you all know I want Joker for christmas. In any way, shape or format. Just. Give. Me. JOKER!
Also, you talked earlier about Joker introducing a girlfriend. If it was me, I'd be shocked. But I'd probably be nice enough to back away, for his sake. Not for his happiness, but for my pride. The Shep I'm making for him to is sorta... well, no, she's VERY much insane. In a sane way. She'd remove the obstacle you entitled "Joker's Girlfriend" and continue her mission to win him over.
@Jilly, if Mordin doesn't create that cure, I'll arrange for his early retirement, death and funeral.
