And I would totally replay through both Mass Effects with a Single Femshep if it meant I could have a romance with Joker in ME3, I think her having previous relationships with able bodied strong men might give him a complex lol.

Ahhhh okay! Silly typos indeed.

I really hope they wouldn't do that, make it so you can only get the pilot if you've been single in the other games. I think it would make things more complicated if you'd been hooking up with guys throughout the other two games, and maybe you wouldn't get as far with Joker-- he might suspect you're just looking for another fling or something. But my main Shep had a relationship with Kaidan, it's part of her history. I think if you made it clear that things had been broken off with your other partners Joker would go for it.

I'm not going to lie though, I'm definitely glad their was more dialogue this time around. In ME 2 with joker. I've also been a renegade now and with my shep and its just awesome hearing joker go

I'm actually hoping in ME 3 besides a joker romance that the characters on the ship interact with one another in random scenes. Like say you walking into mordin's lab and you find jacob and him discussing a weapons upgrade against the collectors. Or even better. Say you come up to the crew deck where joker is and you see him getting analzyed by Doctor Chakwas. Anything thoughts here?

Oh, me too. I'd love to be able to see the crew actually interacting with each other and such. I think the only time we saw that was when Miranda & Jack or Legion & Tali were arguing and you had to break it up.

I'd love to see Chakwas and Joker interacting, but I think it'd be more awesome if you wandered into the medbay for the scene. She's doing a standard physical checkup type thing, he's ****ing about having to let EDI fly the ship and how we're all going to be doomed when she flys us to her evil robot overlords... it'd be awesome and fun to have the three surviving members of the original Alliance crew hanging out and chatting. (And possibly drinking if Chakwas has bought more brandy.)

I wanted to romance Joker in ME1, but that wasn't an option.  His sense of sarcastic humor attracted me.  I didn't care that he couldn't walk.  However, I think Joker's too attached to the ship to notice a human interest.  However, I wouldn't mind having the option to romance him still.  Kaidan and Joker are the only romance choices for me.  No one in ME2 even come close.

Kaidan annoyed me, in ME1. I was trying to romance him, since I like Rafael Sbarge, but he kept getting all whiny on me. I kept finding myself running back to the cockpit more and more often. If Joker had been available in the first game, there wouldn't have been any contest over who Shepard was romancing. :3



I was hoping BioWare had smartened up by ME2, and they did, kind of. There's far more Joker dialog and action, which is awesome. I just can't figure out why they won't go ahead and make him a love interest.

So, I was talking to a friend on AIM and we had a fun discussion about the romance options. (She just started playing ME) She was very confused as to why the military romance interests lacked personality and why the weird blue alien chick was into her. She was sorely offended by Kaidan and his poofy hair and emoness and wondered if Bioware thought that joining the military required you to leave your personality at the door, unless you're the pilot. Her husband's in the military and a majority of her friends, said that alot of them tend to be more...colorful and less boring.

I tried a romance with Kaidan, couldn't do it. Thought my Shepard was going to pass out from boredom, I was considering turning him renegade to make him more entertaining but then it seemed like such an extreme jump...then nuked him before I had the chance anyway. -sigh-

That's a good question. I think I would cry. Well, first I would go through the game single wondering if I missed something, replay the game and get the same exact results, be in complete denial, play the game again, cry, stop playing the game as a female character, emo some more to myself, get angry, stop playing the game all together and then see how much a ticket to Edmonton costs...Y'know, for a 'vacation'.

I'm not going to lie, If it doesn't happen I hope they do it on the unreal 3 engine again. Plus If you had a computer version of the game. I'm thinking mod! I think a mod for that romance would be nice. Though it would depend on who did it. and if they could get Seth green to agree to help?

I actually kinda liked Kaidan, to be honest. He was sorta dorky and protective. His backstory was a little meh-- a bit more angsting than it required, imo, but whatever-- and I was one of the few people in the world who actually didn't loathe Carth, so I didn't have those negative connotations coming into it. I always liked Joker, but as he had all of, like, 6 lines, it was hard to think much of him beyond "heehee funny pilot".



Then ME2 shows up, Kaidan's a jerk and Joker takes a level or three in badass, and, well, my Shepard and I switched OTPs pretty quickly.



I'm kind of tentatively hopeful about our chances of a Joker romance in ME3; his role and character were expanded so much in ME2 that it would be a shame to not build upon it. If he's not available, I will just break things off with Kaidan in game and have my Shepard remain single. I will then proceed to write mountains of fanfic, as well as angry letters to BioWare demanding that they bribe/lure/kidnap Seth Green & Jennifer Hale into the recording studio to record dialogue for the Jokermance and provide it as DLC.

I really tried to like Kaidan, I did. I blame my lifelong obsession with guys that are completely cocky, arrogant and very self-assured and confident. Also, pilots. I could never get into the guys like Carth and Kaidan. Though I do admit that I enjoyed taking Kaidan with me on a majority of missions and it was fun to just be friends with him, but when it came to romance I just couldn't do it. I'm also feel like I'm one of the few that actually enjoyed Ash and totally consider her my Shepard's BFF, even though she totally was a jerk to me, but that's okay Ash ILU!



I'm with you there Rhia, I'll be whoring fanart and fiction for the rest of my life if they don't have one, and my Shepard will happily die alone. If you need a partner in the whole angry letter writing biznezz I'll totally help!
