Kaiden has some similarities to Joker. The difference is Joker uses comical phrases to shield himself and Kaiden is more uncomfortable withdrawn like type.

It gives them both unique persona's.

Kaiden is emotionally withheld, so to speak. He wants to open up but you can see his inerself tring to hold back emotions.

Joker uses quick wit and humor to hide that feature of him being more withdrawn. You do see him start to break down emotionally after the collectors hit the Normandy. Then he hides behind a mix of humor and anger when you talk on the bridge.

Yeah, see, I think Kaidan is withdrawn and warms up to you after you keep prying into his past. Joker's already warmed up, but terrified to put himself out there.

Yeah, it's weird to think about with how much he talks to Shepard, but Joker isn't exactly a people person. He doesn't seem especially fond of majority of the crew (at least the strays Shepard keeps bringing home-- I think the only one he reacts positively to is Tali), and while he certainly likes Shepard, he's a very guarded, private person. He's got the wall o' sarcasm to keep everyone at arm's length.

Which is why a romance would be so interesting. You'd get to see Shepard and Joker getting past each other's defenses, basically, which would make for some AWESOME character development on both sides (but probably moreso for Joker).

I'm not going to lie if they do the Romance option with him. They  would really need to think about how the dialogue would be placed. It couldn't be just, Oh hey joker baby how you doing? What to do the dirty like in the garrus romance. IMO I think they would really need to make you earn his romance in the end. I think it would be more fullfilling this way. Like its like the moment on the normandy when you steal the normandy and you are going to illos and you are about to kiss ashley and you pull her close, but get interrupted by joker from a trasition. I think they would need to make it like a real relationship. You two have been friends for so long until the final moment in the battle of the reapers. Femshep is pushed to her final emotional limit and shes up in the **** pit and she losses something so viable to her. Lets say another crew member dies at the end of the journey and she finally starts to cry. At that moment joker doesn't care about his disease he jumps out from his chair after saving their Butts from another explosion and grabs her/embraces her, but this time he doesn't even crack a joke. HEs just there. hmmm. I think I got a little to into this one. Image IPB

The profanity screening here is pretty funny, I can't remember what hyphenated word I wrote but it had the letters t w a and then another English drinking beverage in the *middle* of the word and it censored my word. It also censored me when I said Tali ****ed her head to the side.

Makes me think of thisvideo... Image IPB

LMAO Sar.

It sounds good in theory Tooney but doesn't really sound like Joker. It'd be more like Shepard hugs *him* and he pats her awkwardly on the back lol, though something might develop from there.

I really tried to like Kaidan, I did. I blame my lifelong obsession with guys that are completely cocky, arrogant and very self-assured and confident. Also, pilots.

THIS.

I actually signed up here primarily to throw in my support.  Smart, witty, emotionally guarded, extremely- talented-and-always-has-to-let-you-know-it jerk with a heart of gold?  That's like my ideal man.  I went into ME1 expecting to fall for Kaidan because I've always been a fan of Carth, but then Joker came out of nowhere and stole my heart.  I was so disappointed that he wasn't an LI this time around, but I've still got my fingers crossed for ME3!

And besides, KotOR started a proud tradition (for me) of protagonists who sleep with their pilots, and I'd hate to see a good thing ruined.

If he can handle the recoil on an assault rifle without injury, I sincerely doubt that a hug is going to do any harm. Unless you're a really aggressive hugger.

Ok, say you're right.  So what?  The sex scene is more like icing on already delicious cake, anyway.  Personally, I find all the interaction and romance along the way far more rewarding than the thirty second scene we get before Impossible Mission of the Week.  I'd be happy just to chill in the cockpit with him exchanging witty and  highly flirtatious banter.  If I was just interested in a quick video of people having sex, there are far more efficient ways to get  it than playing through a thirty hour game.

Wow, what WON"T they do these days.... too funny...:o

I was just trying to say they are alike but unique not similar but different.... :?

I wont lie to you Joker is far more interesting than Kaiden. I'm having issues trying to formulate this in writing.

A Jokermance if they do it the way it should be done the end result will be far more rewarding. You have a character that has a strong emotional barrier (humor/sarcasim) and your pairing it up to a woman that threw duty and service has had to strenghtin her resolve to push forward for a better tomorrow. She has lost many friends and allies over the years few could hope to walk away from that without scars that have healed into hardened emotions. Joker went threw life criple and alone, he has his own for of emotional scaring and it shows prominat in his quick wit and scarcasim. Something he needed to get threw life and to the place he is in now. Joker and Shepard now have some history together but their "barriers" have kept certain emotions from each other only letting thoes of a close friend slip threw the cracks. This LI would be very rewarding if they take the time to do it correctly.

Thats just my opinion though. (Ha you thought I was gona quote Joker) Hopefully it makes some sence.:(

First off its only his lower half that didnt develop correctly, go back to ME1 and talk to him about it. Or look up a video of it.

Second its brittle bone syndrome not sand castle syndrome.

Thrid you focus too much on snu snu not the relationship which is the bigger reward here.:alien:

SAX? How do you know Joker can't play the saxaphone? HE MAY BE A BRILLIANT SAX MAN AND YOUR DENYING HIM THAT RIGHT!? HOW DARE YOU! He plays wonderful jazz, didn't you hear him scat on the bridge?

I'll take these things seriously when everyone else does. I think poster is scared of sex, look how they edit it to a fluffier word! Tee hee. SAX.

It's the same, tired old arguement...
I'm surprised how many people uses the *exact same sentences* to put this point forward...
Do you think they're being brainwashed?
Anyway this is my response and my same, tired old reply...

If you actually *read* the thread you would see this subject has been covered *multiple* times,
you'd think that a thread with 17 pages would already have gone through this phase...

SO I HAVE A TOTALLY AWESOME FRIEND AND SHE DREW ME JOKER GIFT ART! :D

I just thought I should type that LOUDLY, because this picture makes me keep grinning like an idiot and I can't stop oggling it! <3

Lol Sly, I will never get over these posters! <3 It's the first posts, no one cares about anything after the first posts and I think a majority of the first posts were the LOLHESBONEBRAKEZ! Again, we shall just do our usual, make fun of the silly responses, make fun of Joker ourselves because it beats people to the punch and makes them give up ( I enjoy doing that one), ignore them, quote ourselves or use your posters! <3

I have to just throw this in, but if anyone thinks jokers week. At the end of the Shepards death scene its up to joker to save the universe. I think he could defeat the reapers single handedly. What and tell me hes not a pimp!
