Oh yea lol, and Tooney! Maybe we need a collective name for both sexes? Jokerites? The limpers?

'The Limpers' makes me think of that old pervert in 'Blue Harvest'.

WHY do people have to keep subtitles on for videos? Argh! They just get in the way! Im trying to find a decent subtitleless video of jokers mission but nooo... they all have subtitles....

I need subtitles. But then, I use ingame dialog for fic.

I only had subtitles on if it's hard to understand who's talking.

Like that Jamaican guy in GTA IV. Oh god, I have no idea what the **** that guy is saying without the subtitles.

I normally play without them. I got yelled at for recording videos without them though so I've switched them back on.

For screenshots and recordings intended for something other than audio capture, I do turn them back on. It does make them much nicer and easier to work with.

As for the topic up for debate, I'd have to say that the developers wanted to show how much society had advanced by putting a person with a physical disability in an important role on a military ship. Sometimes it bothers me that current militaries don't allow people with physical ailments to join; they often turn away good, hardworking people because of it. Though, there is hope, because there are many wounded servicemen/women going back into their jobs after suffering catastrophic injuries. A born condition, however, is still an unsurmountable obstacle. I think it's awesome that ME has put someone like Joker in the game, and that he has a very important role...Shepard wouldn't last long without an excellent pilot, after all.

I pretty much never use subtitles...and all my planned video projects won't really require people being able to understand the dialog. I'm pretty good at just watching and writing down what they say for fics, too.

That's gorgeous, Nam! Though TIM's hand is a little distracting. My mind wouldn't make sense of it at first.

I'm here! I like it!

Though just a bit of criticism (Not to be mean or anything, I wanna help!), but it might be good idea to color correct Joker to match the scene's lighting a bit more.

Why do you guys think they decided to make Joker who he is, in terms of having a disability (not that his disability is WHO he is, just poorly worded)? What do you think made them decide to write joker as having brittle bone disease?

Namira, I have a theory on this. Strictly from a writer's POV, giving a main character some sort of intrinsic disadvantage is a quick way to make their story arc even more heroic when they perform great deeds (i.e. Sole survivor, former slave etc for Cmdr Shepard). Giving Joker something that he had to overcome in order to make his dreams come true shows that the character has persistence (he'll wear down my Commander someday!) and grit. He's tough mentally and that could come into play big-time in ME3. I'm telling ya, there's a reason that he is the first crew-member we meet in both ME and ME2. Just a thought.

Also, sorry if the comment I quoted doesn't show up right. Apple seems to have problems bringing up the keyboard in certain text boxes. *eats cookie to console herself about her poor posting skills*

While dancing may be a bit more than I'd care to see, me being a guy, I definitely support a Joker LI for ME3

By the way, I've been working on a few main character faces recently including Joker, (and yes this is Shepard).

@cegr25 Fantastic, he's so evil and angry there, definiely how I feel right now. (Freaking uni registration sucks~!)

As for why they made Joker with a disability, I mainly agree with making him appear more heroic and determined, but also I think it's to make him different from other well known pilots in other fandoms. Most of those pilots (I'm thinking Wash, Anakin and Han Solo here) are witty and attractive for the most part, and serve a part as comic relief. Making Joker suffer from Vrolik's makes him quite unique when compared to these other pilots.
