Did you see that XML data? I am very excited about this DLC, maybe my Paragades will be able to finally get Balak in it. The Galactic news still says he's at large....

Also, that possible joke line about I'm too busy being awesome, I'll talk to you later line should totally be said by Joker.
Just like "I'm here for you.. up here with my things." Posted Image

That's a variation of the eternal pilot quote: "I'm sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of how awesome I am."

After posting on the 'character that shouldn't be romancable' thread and hearing some excellent arguments for Joker being an LI. I just thought I would swing by and wish you all good luck! You have certainly swayed me, and Joker would be a really cool LI. Posted Image

Thanks Tasha - and you are right - Garrus is a perfect example for this. I am glad that Bioware decided to make him a LI in ME2 (although being LI in ME1 would have been nice too).

So please - take a cookie and stay with us Posted Image

I know he says his legs but I believe his condition really affects all his bones. Though my theory is that his leg are probably at a greater risk because from holding up is entire body.

He says specifically in ME1 that his legs never calcified properly, even when he was born and that he can manage with crutches but a fall (or dancing) would be disastrous for him.  It's not really until ME2 that you start to hear about other bones too ("Watch the arm" when you rescue him from the SR-1, "fractured my thumb" putting EDI on mute, and the worry over stress fractures after the Collector attack).

I kind of suspect that they only intended for him to be barely able to walk in ME1 then expanded that in ME2.  It's not exactly a retcon, but it feels a little bit like one.

I'd have to do some research to find out more but I think Fenris knows someone with this condition. Maybe she will chime in before I get a better reply.

The thumb thing I'm sure is just Seth/Joker comedy.

I think the arm part might be the writers fixing a hole in the story, but thats only speculation not proof.

I do indeed know someone with OI. My uncle.

As for the disease, it will, inevitably, affect ALL the bones in his body, unless his treatments eliminate the problems he has in his upper body. It's a possibility, but it feels farfetched. Obviously, his legs being under constant strain, what with carrying a full-grown soldier, might be more at risk... but reasonably, his arm should break just as easy as his leg, as the collagen-levels will be the same throughout his entire skeleton.

Doesn't matter much, though, if he receives another round of them Cerberus treatments. He probably won't even have brittle bones any more. But that limp... FemShep will kick his leg daily if it disappears. It makes his bum stick out. It's sexy.

Oh, and, vote "other" on this poll, and comment "Joker." :3

You know, Joker's ego and his adorable snarky comments is one of my favourite lines to write in fanfiction. His wit could rival Oscar Wilde. And thanks for the welcome guys!!

Friendship -> relationship is always good. And even better because it all happens on a ship, the love boat that is the Normandy.

It appears that Joker's Vrolik's syndrome affects his lower body more than his upper body due to his comments (particularly in ME1.)

And, I like cookies. You have just bribed me :P

Great, you've now got me picturing the crew of the Normandy as characters from The Love Boat.
Actually that might make for an interesting picture...

Oh, damn... That just makes me think of the goddamned Jacob vs Harbinger remix... *sigh* That hurts my ears.

@Tasha, in ME1 he only mentions it affecting his legs, but that is impossible when it comes to vrolik's which is probably why they made him mention his arm, his thumb and the stress fractures in ME2. A clever little fix, but I saw what they did there. ¬_¬

Again, with treatments, he could be well enough from the waist up. This is a sci-fi game, after-all.

FIGHTER PLANES AND AWESOMENESS LIKE WHOA. I just played Hawx for a little while, and man, for those of us whose affections for pilots extends into actual piloting itself, Hawx is a fun game. Really, really fun. JOKER WOULD NOT BE PROUD OF ME in my first mission, I definitely pancaked into the ground when getting used to the controls. I also pancaked once because I wasn't paying attention to my altitude, just focusing a DEATH STARE on the ground targets.

DEATH STARES ARE NOT ENOUGH WHEN PILOTING

That's all for today.

Have a bit of target fixation there, Sorrel? Lol. I shall tell you one of many pilot mantras: "Speed is life. Altitude is life insurance."
But yes, Joker would be proud.

Well except for the weird 'look at' camera incident that gave me a good look at the ground, that I had in Blazing Angles. I think Joker might appreciate my virtual flying skills.

lol just a tad. I do have one mean DEATH STARE though. Those tanks? Yeah. Shakin' in their treads, they were. (Especially after I plowed a Foxbat right into one, wups.)

Naw but seriously, now that I'm used to the controls and using the bird part of my brain, I don't pancake anymore. I've only ever crashed the twice. Usually when I fail a mission it's because I'm GETTING THERE.

'WE'RE SHOWING A SQUADRON OF GROUND TARGETS APPROACHING THE REFINERY'
I'm getting there.
'RADAR SHOWS FOUR BOOGEYS AT YOUR 7OCLOCK, 30 MILES LOW'
Okay right, course correction, wingman 1 attack ground targets, wingman 2 and I attack enemy bombers.

Yeah I know mate, I'm on my w-
