I'm still not a fan of the "Casual Friday on the ship" idea. I don't even think it should be an option for the entire crew. Perhaps if you were in the mess or in the crew quarters, they could be in some kind of more casual wear. Jumpsuits, btw, are not what I would consider "casual wear." But, if BioWare wants to stay true to form (meaning that there is at least a paramilitary-type command structure aboard the Normandy, even after dumping Cerberus), the crew should to be wearing some kind of uniform on duty, whether it's Alliance/Cerberus/whatever, depending on what organization they want to represent. I think it was a bit silly for Shep to have the civilian clothing option, personally, because the commander needs to set the example for the crew...and in the words of Commander Will Riker, "No uniform, no orders."

However, on that same note, the squadmates all represent something different, and they are specialists, so they need to wear what will serve them best in combat. The ship's crew, however, need to be wearing something so that the Normandy doesn't look like a cruise ship full of lookie-loos. And I totally just had a vision of Kelly in short-shorts. Who last had the eye bleach?

Get what you mean about the uniform thing, and I agree. The commander should look like they have authority, it's kind of a morale thing. Looking strong, confident in a nice, clean, ironed uniform.
As for the dessert idea, I'll cave and say cupcake, 'cause he's sweet ^-^;;

Bioware shouldn't just do a para-military run ship. Their should be a more open choice if your not Cerberus and your not Alliance then your something else. That something else should range from a civilian like crew to a mercenary crew.

I'm not saying that we should have Kelly walking around in a bikini top and torn shorts. It would be really neat if they did an 'off-duty' look for something like the mess and maybe off the ship at times. Though I doubt they would do that.

It would be great to see the crew in something that is not a military uniform. Like a jumpsuit and maybe a customized logo (optional). Or other attire fitting to their duty on the ship.

Honestly, I own a normal edition on the PS3 and PC and I bought the UE for the 360 just a few weeks ago.

I also own ME1 and ME2 on 360 and PC.
