With the reading the part about the Normandy being impounded, I imagined Joker standing in the airlock, waving a crutch, yelling "Just try it!"

The Normandies really don't get much respect do they? The SR1 gets shoop-da-woop'd, and the SR2 gets wrecked and impounded.

I'd say the Normandy is the sexiest ship in the realm of all science fiction (waits for a rebuke from the Enterprise-E, which previously held the title in my eyes), and that Joker is the sexiest helmsman/pilot EVAH! (Waits for rebuke from Tom Paris...)

I know... I hope they get their stuff together for ME3, but I must confess I'm not wholly optimistic at this time. I'm fearing that we're going to see either a repeat of ME2 (scant content and/or mostly weak connections between characters) or we're not going to get much simply because of the statistics. 80% of players played a male... sure, 20% is a lot when it comes to sales and money, but I have no real confidence at this point that they're going to pay us more than cursory/token attention. I want to believe otherwise, but can't see it as realistic.

I mean, it's not just whether a Joker romance happens, it's very much how it happens, you know? Granted, ME has never been much about the romances in the first place, Kaidan sure wasn't the reason I played it, nor were any of the male characters the point of ME2, but they add--or would add--something really deep and emotional to the plot; an investment in the world. I kept hoping ME3 would be the sweet spot until I saw those stats. At this point I don't dare to feel any optimism.

Joker would be the meaningful romance. The romance that happens not because "this is a sexy little space fling for a Captain Kirkette to have," which could arguably be applied to all the romances previous to now. It would be the movie moment. The, "I've been cheering and rooting and hoping for this couple to get together for just AGES now, nobody gets these characters like they get each other, they were meant for each other, it just hasn't hit them yet" and then it *finally* happens. The brilliant, sweeping, big bang blockbuster moment where the UST just explodes all over the screen.

That's what I want. So much. The icing on the ME3 cake. I don't care if it's short, even, as long as it's a big moment. Nothing crushingly mundane to the point of silliness like "But the prize" or "reach and flexibility". Like Thane's love scene, only better because he doesn't have a wife, a son, or a fatal disease, and it's Joker for crying out loud.

Ugh, this is awful... I'm really depressing myself because it would be so epic, but I can't bring myself to believe it actually will happen. Man, I hope I'm wrong to be on the cynical side of this.

But even if it were Udina... yes. YES. JUST GIVE ME MY JOKER! I'll suffer any indignity done to my poor Shepard... a good Jokermance, built out of the friendship and working relationship they have, would be so worth it.

Heh, I've seen so much lame mock-shipping of EDI and Joker as being why Shepard couldn't romance him that at this point, I'm like, "I like EDI, but seriously, JUST DIE." *lol* I feel mean, and I'd miss her... but I sure wouldn't miss the endless repitition of the same jokes we've all heard. The most preferable option is, of course, EDI stays but Joker is Shepard's, putting the teasing to bed once and for all. *sighs* Oh, if only...

I'm totally there with you, at most I think they won't do it becuase Seth Green is too expensive. Blegh my Shepard has stayed faithful to Kaiden anyway, guess he's her fallback guy.

Loved Joker from 'I hate that guy.' but guess shes gonna have to put up with biotic prince charming instead...

He might be too expensive... but the one little sliver of hope I have is that Clare Grant might push for us. After that "Geek and Gamer Girls" parody (of Katy Perry's California Girls) thing she did, we know she is a gamer and can hope that she would like to see Joker as an LI as much as we would. I saw an interview with her on Youtube that gave me the impression she takes an interest in his role, so who knows? Maybe she has our backs here.

Dude, I would love her FOREVER if I knew she put in a good word for us. Even if it didn't work.

You want to know something funny, when I play through as a renegade I never choose those options when I'm speaking to Joker. I'm always sweet as pie Everyone else on the crew must surely have a complex.
