If Joker becomes an LI, I would totally dump Kaidan for him. I might have 2 playthroughs though, one for Kaidan and one for Joker, i'd feel bad about Kaidan.

For me Joker > Kaiden anyday. Like Fenris said though best not to compare lest someone gets upset as there are people who like other LI's. My main shep stayed loyal to Kaiden through ME2 but if Joker is an LI poor Kaiden's gonna get dropped like a hot thermal clip.

Like this, just wrote it a few minutes into writing this post:

Shepard sat in the corner of her chambers, head buried in her lap and hands shaking. She had much grief delt to her before, but she always took it in stride. Now however, she just couldn't take it anymore. She cried and wept and let the tears flow down her cheeks. The galaxy was lost, everyone was dead. They were now just a floating mass of metal floating somewhere in space, in a galaxy devoid of the sapient life that thrived in it no less than 20 hours ago. Hope, was lost.

Joker jabbed at the button in the elevator, forcing it to carry him up to the Captain's Quarters. When she had left Alenko to die, he left her to grieve on her own. When Ash rejected her on Horizon and when half the ground team was wiped out in the Collector Base, he just gave his condolences. Not now, however. Not after everything, everything they had been through. The elevator pinged, it had to be now or never.

He opened the door, seeing a dark empty room partially illuminated by the light in the empty aquarium. He could hear muffled sobs coming from the far end of the room. Any other time he would have been shocked at his Commander crying, but he would have understood even if she had gone mad. He limped towards her, sliding his back against the wall as he sat beside her. Joker wrapped his hands around Shepard's body, pulling her close to his chest as she needily embraced him.

Hours past, Shepard had stopped crying some time before but she still layed there, wrapped in his arms. Finally, she raised her gaze and looked into intently into Jeff's eyes as he looked pleadingly into Jillian's. Their heads slowly came together, three inches, two inches, one inch apart. Half a second until what seemed like a millenia of sexual tension would be relieved and feelings of deep love and passion would be let lose.

Then a Reaper blew them up. The end.

That - would be awesome. Maybe lighten up the circumstances a bit, but the general idea is great.

See, I wouldn't drop Kaidan, I made a Shepard for him, and that Shepard he shall keep.

But I'm quite hopeful that we will get a Jokermance and have prepared a male and female Shepard to romance Joker with, JUST IN CASE they make him bi. XD

Of course, I do have playthroughs in which I cheat on my ME1 LI's too, just to see what happens.

Oh I made a Shepard for Kaidan in ME1, but considering I'm not able to transfer my saves from 1 to 2 I'm gonna switch her over to Joker in my new playthrough of ME2. No harm done. xD

I just made my main male Shepard in ME2, but I only just passed Horizon (For the time being I just wanted to make it to the point where I could trigger "Arrival") so I haven't really decided his LI yet.

Heh heh, tried doing that with my first male Shepard with Miranda and Tali. Granted, not ME1 LI but it was still hilarious. I tried saying, "I only want you." to Tali and she was all annoyed, replying with "Why don't you tell that to Miranda." and then walking off. I felt like such an ass. XD

I'm totally going to romance Kaidan, too, and probably Liara and Ashley and Jack as well, with other Shepards. But my main Shep I want to end up with Joker--so much.

I appreciate the other characters, but nobody in the entire game has been with Shepard as *consistently* as Joker. He was there at the moment of first contact with the Prothean beacon and when Shepard died and when she woke up, and so on and so forth. He was also the only one who hung on and stayed with her during the Collector assault. Granted, he had some help there, but still. Joker we know better than all the other LIs! He never leaves to go off and do some other thing for some other reason. The Normandy is his home even more so than it is Shepard's.

We know Joker better than the others, and yet there are still mysteries about him to explore. He's not some powerful biotic, or science experiment, or dying alien father... his appeal is that in a forest of exotics, he's more of a regular guy in an extreme situation. I don't know, maybe they'll make Sanders one of those, but the history just wouldn't be there. It would never cut it for me, or I can't imagine it could, at least. The idea that Joker might've had feelings for Shepard all along and either not noticed or put them aside is pretty compelling. It's classically romantic. You just don't have that with a new character, or even an old one because in all other cases, Shepard and whomever have already indulged those feelings, essentially. The UST factor works with Joker more than it could with any other character, even Ashley/Kaidan.

Actually, I'd love to meet your squadmate's family members in ME3--Ashley's, Kaidan's, Liara's father, Joker's, etc. That would be awesome. It might only be your LI's family, but I'd love that.

I'd like to say gingery brown... Just ever so slightly reddish. So, not a mousy brown, or dark brown. Reddish brown. XD

I'm ashamed to say that only now have I realised that he has reddish brown hair. Seth's voice immediately made me think of him as having dark orange hair :/
