So... have you ever wondered why Shepard and Joker can't get together?
Maybe Separd is too shy to ask him out...

If they're making Joker an LI, he'd have to be bi right? Because if he was straight, the female equivalent to his romance would have to be... Dr. Chakwas.

Dr Chakwas is awesome.
She's got that whole Helen Mirren thing going on. Perfect for the older manshep. I don't think he *has* to be bi but it wouldn't bother me or anything.

I had to wait to play ME all this time on PS3. I never really wanted an xbox, and I don't have a PC (I'm on a laptop), but my brother actually made his own PC JUST to play ME2! I tried it on there, but just couldn't get used to the controls! I’ve been waiting since ME1 to play, so…it’s been a long time!

First thing I asked him when I started up my game was if Joker was a romance option. I didn't have my Shep romance anyone in my main game, but after the end game, I went back and did it to get the romance trophy and I have to say...it was pretty...unfulfilling. The only one that seemed remotely interesting was Thane’s and even then, Shep said it herself that it wasn’t really love.

Most of them felt like “We might die, so might as well hook up.”

I still think that Joker’s the best romantic option, especially since he seems to share a rapport with Shepard that you don’t really get out of the rest of the crew, but I worry that it’ll never happen!

Especially since there was that bit of dialogue after you meet up with Kaiden/Ashley again after Horizon…I can’t remember what path it was to get the response, but he says “This is why I don’t date crew, Commander.” and after that, well… my little heart broke!

I just take solace that the first thing he said when it was over between Shepard and Kaiden was
'Oh good...'

I hope they do it for us little fangirls...If they don't well then they are just... mean.
Kaiden is the only LI that felt natural to me the rest of them just felt too much like you were jumping down thier throat. That's just my personal opinion though.

Since I have the PS3 version, it's harder to get to know Kaiden/Ashley because all you get is the comic, but I've seen it on youtube, and it seems the romances were more thought out in ME1 than 2.

I thought about romancing Kaiden, actually, but I just can't resist Joker, ha!

I really, really hope they'll listen to us! Why is it that I could flirt with KELLY of all people, whom I just thought was annoying, but I couldn't flirt with Joker?

I have the PS3 version as well, but the comic wasn't cuttin it for me (although it was pretty cool to watch) so I decided to chance buying the PC version of ME1. I'll agree that romances were more thought out. I suppose that could be because there were only those two plus Liara (who I haven't romanced yet), whereas in ME2 there were several options for both genders.

so, today i introduced my friend to mass effect, and let her borrow the first one. we were playing and immediately she went like, "ooh! ooh! can i romance the pilot?" after i said no, she stared at me and then said, "WHY....THE...****...NOT?!"

I didn't get the impression that the LI's in ME2 where hitting on me. If anything I felt like I was just talking to them normally and then one of the options was 'I want you' at which point I was like...um okay. I dunno maybe I'm just immune to flirting... :|
Kelly gave me the impression that there was a memo note on her that said 'Here is a pretty secretary. I bet you love me now dontcha Hugs T.I.M. xxx' After the fiftieth intonation of 'There are new messages for you Commander' I just wanted to jump off the galaxy map and punch her face on the way down WWF style.

I totally understand that those are my personal feelings though not trying to upset anyone :innocent:

I enjoyed Kaidans flirtyness, it made me smirk from how awkward he always made it. Though, that might just be me, I am a terribly awkward flirt as well. :'[       Anyhoo, I also flirt with Kelly so my fish don't die as well, as I'm sure many people do.

Back to the ME2 flirting, I never felt that anyone was flirting with me, even when I romanced someone. As mentioned before I felt as if it was just a 'Oh, we may die in this next battle so lets bone. Even if it's awkward alien boning.' Or however them silly aliens do the dirty. Although that did really make me wonder how exactly that worked with Garrus.

the love interests in ME wasn't that bad i didn't feel like Kaidan was throwing him self at me, even he apologizes about being informal and was going off how shepard was acting towards him at that point you could easily say no with liara.... i felt like i was going to have a stalker on my hands all because i was touched by prothean technology still to this day i don't fully believe that she loves shepard for the right reasons only my opinion though

but lucky for us Joker didn't do any of that stuff.... no matter how much we wanted him too >_>.... yay... heh heh he he... lol

Ashley and Joker are my favourite characters for the series. Ash was romanceble in ME1 but in ME2... you know what happened. Joker was all defensive and snarky in ME1 (which I found kinda cute and endearing) but got upgraded both physically and socially in ME2. And he's playable!  Even if he is limping away like a crippled coward...

I'm both excited and terrified of how they'll be portrayed in ME3.
