Of course it does. There is no other option. We've been waiting longer than Tali's or Garrus' fans so it's our (and VS fans as well, yay!) turn to get some love!

Hey, guys, I know I'm late to the love-talk, but my two cents;

It would be unwise for BioWare to *not* introduce new LI's. Since they're once again hoping to make the game suitable for new audiences, that means a new player must be able to jump in and experience just as much as anyone who's played the other two games. If they then make old characters available for new romances in ME3, some players might opt not to take those LI's because there is so much more to learn about the characters than could perhaps be summed up in a romantic subplot.

I dunno, I think we'll have new LI's, and I refuse to give up hope of Joker being one of them!

Take into consideration that ME3 is said to have a comic for new players similar to the one for ME2 on the PS3. That comic had the choice of romantic interests - in which case ME3 would not need any new love interests for new players to play through a romance.

Its a stand alone game so im thinking yes they'll be new romances, that or they'll just give you another chance to start romances with existing LI's
