Plus I think he shouldn't have to be healed to be romanceable. One of our battle-cries on this forum is that a disability does not inhibit luv'ins. We'll take him any old which-way.
Casey H also confirmed they ran out of time to make a FemShep trailer for E3. :-(

Awww, well, we are still getting the FemShep trailer eventually right? D:

Would you prefer semi-fixed Joker or fully-healed Joker?
I prefer Joker as he is - a hasty fix would kinda take away from his character (if that makes sense.) I mean, farther along the game if Mordin finds a cure, I think I'd be okay with it. But I kinda like that a possible LI would have this condition, and have Shep still fall for him; it's a great romance story.

I'm with Koji. Isn't part of our argument that just because he's disabled doesn't mean he can't have a shot at Shepard. Sexy times is not all what love is about after all

If there should be a romance *looks at BioWare pointedly* how do you think it would start up? Drunken one-night-stand? Longing looks finally recognized? Odd behavior stemmed from hidden feelings questioned? Or maybe Shepard and her pilot simply realize their friendship is turning into something a little more, and decide to give it a try?

They shouldn't cheapen it if they're gonna do it, I guess that's what I'm trying to say. They should make it important to the plot somehow...otherwise it just seems like it takes something away from the character (not that I think he shouldn't be cured, mind y'all).
I always have seen the romance starting with Joker having liked Shepard all along for being so kind and understanding to him (even the renegade is pretty good to him compared to other characters). That's probably different treatment than he's used to getting from his superiors, judging by his quick assumption in ME1 that Shepard did a background check on him and wants to know that he's "good enough" to fly the ship. However, being the shy guy he is, he doesn't ever confess that to her possibly because he doesn't feel like he's good enough for the first human Spectre. Then he feels terrible about Shepard dying for him on the SR1, and that he never got to tell her how he felt. I always imagined my Shepard coming to realize that there's no one out there for her like Joker...someone who will always be there for her, no matter what.

If they find a cure for Joker, awesome. I mean, I want the man to be cured, because it pains me to see him limp around. However, if they're gonna do it a la "Spend 100,000 Iridium for Mordin's Joker-curing super bone weave," I'm going to let out a big *SIGH*...

That's kinda how I see the relationship as well. Aside from Garrus, Joker is the only person who just accepted Shepard back and knew she was doing the right thing for the galaxy. No questions, just absolute trust. That's what Shepard needs. And Joker just needs a sweet woman who calls him on his bull. XD

I kinda imagine it would happen the same way. Especially since
*SPOILERS* the Normandy gets grounded and Shepard gets arrested at the beginning of ME3. *END SPOILERS*
I'd guess he'd have a lot of time to reflect on all the stuff that's happened in the past years since there wouldn't be much of anything else for him to do while she's on trial. And even though ME2 barely touched on it, I know Shepard's death affected him more than anyone's letting on. Maybe more than he was willing to admit to himself, but perhaps while he's grounded he realizes that he does feel guilty about her dying for him and that he really does care for her, and once she steals the Normandy again (that's an assumption on my part, don't kill me) he finally decides to tell her how he feels. Or how he's felt since ME1.
Wouldn't it be awesome/hilarious if ME3's writers were reading this thread and taking notes? XD

@Unfallen, It has been mentioned before for squadmate. I certainly liked the part in ME2 were we got to control Joker for a little bit. I think your in the right place for that topic. I know it says "Romance or Dialog" but I think more joker anything really applies.
Correct me if I have misspoken.

But agreed, you can discuss it here!! If we felt there were more people in it just for the friendship etc we might behave ourselves more.

Say if Joker was a squadie, what class do you figure he could do? Its not exactly easy for him to get around after all.

Garrus: Joker...is that...a M-98 Widow?
Joker: Damn right it is! It's my baby!
(*Normandy sheds lone tear*)
Garrus: *smirks* You'll be thrown back on the rebound, helmsman.
Joker: *glares* Bet I can hit a target better than you.
Garrus: Is that a bet?
Joker: Or maybe you can't pop the ol' heatsink because you're too busy with your calibrations.
*epic stare-down*
Garrus: ...You're on, Joker.
Shep: *facepalm*

I dunno...I'm not gonna go there with the whole Joker as a squaddie thing. Mostly because despite the fact that Joker is awesome and might be able to handle some shore missions, he doesn't belong on the ground. He belongs on the bridge, and I think he'd agree. Lol.

I'm sure he felt ABSOLUTELY terrible. You can kinda tell when you talk to him about the good ol' days, and when he was there at the very end, shooting down Collectors making damn sure Shepard made it.

It couldn't possibly be worse then my Shep's Mako driving skills!
Claim to fame: flipped he Mako on almost flat ground but couldn't manage the same when yee-hawing off a volcano.

CDRSkyShep is right. He belongs on the bridge as a bad-ass pilot. However, if they could work space battles into ME3 like in Halo Reach and you play as Joker then it might be cool.

I just played around with the Hammerhead the first time the other day. I like that thing WAAAAAYYYYY better than the Mako. I still manage to smash it around a bit, though. XD But, as a RL pilot, I appreciate it a lot more, and it's easier to handle. I try to not smash it into the ground, I'd rather show off my nice, soft landings.

It will be so sweet to have Joker liking Shepard all along but being shy about it. It would definitely prefer that to him saying "I never think about you that way, but I'm willing to try..." Even though, I'd be grateful for anything that would provide us Jokermance
Yes, I would like the shy version a lot better. I think it would be nice if he was the one to approach Shep with it, that you didn't have to hit him over the head with a hammer or something for him to open up his eye and see that it could be a possibility. But I will gladly take a joker-mance in any way I can get it

I'd kinda like it too if you didn't have to initiate anything; I'm sure Bioware gives us the control just so we can choose, but it would still be nice if someone else approached Shep and said: "Hey, I kinda sorta maybe have these feelings for you, and I don't want it to be too late again to tell you." Even in video games, it would be nice to be approached by an interested party; it's still your choice to turn them down or not. (Which I guess Liara is an example of this.)
But I agree with you, so long as it's a Joker-mance, I'll take it whatever way!

I would squee so hard if Joker said it
As for him being a squadie: That would have to mean that he was fully healed and in that case he would somehow loose some of his appeal to me. I like him the way he is - all fragile and crunchy
