Joker is the type of guy that would go for something like that. He's a geek, he's a crippled savant, and he's voiced by Seth Green. He and the AI are totally an item.

Romance option between female Shepard and Joker? Nah, it just doesn't work with the narrative and atmosphere that the Bioware designers have set up. They don't even have compatible personae. I'd say Joker likes the sultry, sexy type. He just needs to find one who likes funny guys and who wouldn't mind him being physically "fragile".

As for EDI, Joker himself has made things clear by calling the AI "Mom". "She" is more of a mother figure to him than anything else. Whether or not EDI is moved from the confines of the ship, she would be better suited as a caretaker.

I can already see EDI taking full control of the Normandy of her own volition in order to save Joker's life, but losing the second ship in the process. Then, the player would have to salvage the wreck in order to transfer EDI to a mobile platform, thereby replacing "Legion", who has by now gone off to lead his "people" against the Heretics. Who knows? They might even have something like that in ME3. That would certainly be interesting.

Yeah, I took a little creative liberty in this post. Any writers out there, feel free to use that in a fan fiction. I don't mind (Just mention my username as a "contributor" )

So, a few people actually want to push for an actual human male with personality as a prospective romance option and apparently it's 'wrong', but inter-species boneage and boffing a character that gets sick from a mere kiss is TOTALLY ACCEPTABLE. Joker IS capable of moving about, for goodness sake he nearly throws himself out of the airlock to make sure your Shepard gets their ass back onto the ship at the end of the game. Sex doesn't really seem out of the question and...how hard are you planning on banging him to shatter his pelvis!? o.O



Joker would make a great romance, and not all romances really need to lead to sexy time scene! People wanted Garrus because he was this awesome character with a great personality and depth, they wanted to romance him because he was badass. In the second one, you even tell Garrus you want to be with him because you want someone you trust. The same could be said about Joker, the two of you have been through hell and back together, hell you even DIED for him. Joker could have gotten a job as a pilot for any private companies for a good amount of pay, instead he went with Cerberus with his reasoning as 'they let him fly'. Cerberus wasn't the only one with a ship and he only learned about the Normandy the night before he saw Shepard again.



He signs on to Cerberus, I think not just because he feels he owes you, but he values you as a friend. It can be turned and written into this really great romance for the third game where, your going at the reapers, your most likely going to die and see the end of all organic life as possible and pretty much the only person (aside from Tali and Garrus) who has ever had your back no matter how crazy the situation, was Joker. I'd say that there's a lot more there than Joker lets on. Yes, it's trust and friendship, but wasn't that the basis that formed the whole Garrus romance?



Joker getting with EDI is...silly. Though, if anyone's going to romance the ship it's going to be me because the SR-2 is damn sexy.



Joker's love for the ship seems to come from the fact it's one of the only places where he's truly felt at home and accepted, it'd be nice if we could at least let him know that we feel the same and that anywhere that he and the Normandy is, is home.

Lets put it this way. Joker young male who loves to be free. Shepard female who helps joker be friend while literally and I mean literally dieing for him. I think the EDI comments are funny, but I would really like in the game to make joker and real man with my femshep. Holla!

In the world today, Brittle Bone Disease kills infants. If Joker can make it to his 30s with the disease, then technology and medicine has advanced leaps and bounds from real world medicine. Also, try playing ME2 again --  I don't think anyone would need to cure him in order to date him; Shepard would just need to be a little creative.

I love EDI and the Normandy just as much as the next nerd, which only contributes to the pairing chemistry. What's wrong with geeking out with your love interest? Maybe they'd play pranks on EDI. I doubt EDI or the Normandy would get "in the way" of the pairing -- besides, I think proving yourself smarter/sexier than an inanimate object would be far easier than competing with biotic abilities or multiple-century lifespans. We've crossed those hurdles!

Joker's independent, intelligent, witty and sarcastic. He's always there for Shepard, too. That's more than I can say for Kaidan, Ashley and Liara. :|

Tricia Helfer is tempting, but a) I'm a female that likes men, even if I could pick Tricia Helfer she STILL inaccessible to me in the game, unless I decide to pull a humping robot and hump the Normandy...though I'd do that, for the lulz...and to see if Joker would make a snazzy comment, or c) BECAUSE JOKER IS MUTHA FEKKIN SETH GREEN!



I'm pretty sure that if EDI gets put into a "android" she'd most likely use that to physically hit Joker for the hell of it, though I much prefer her antics whilst still being the ACTUAL Normandy like making Joker's chair move uncontrollably. They really should make it so that EDI and Shepard can team up to play tricks on Joker, that would be funnier.



As far as I'm concerned, EDI has NO dibs as nothing of the sort has ever been stated where everyone's BIG proof that EDI and Joker are hooking up is Seth Green's interview on the cast reveal where he makes a joke...in a questioning form. And no, the whole 'are you flirting with the ship' comment is totally not grounds for that...just...wow.



And I'm not really pushing for a sexy time scene with Joker, I'm pushing for a relationship that's purely based on feelings and emotion, even though Joker has come to terms with his disease I'm sure when it comes down to getting involved with a certain Commander he might start to actually doubt himself because of it. I think it would be fascinating to see a whole new side of Joker, he always has his guard up, deflecting the tough stuff with humor and sarcasm, you only get a brief glimpse of his 'other' side in both games, once after you nuke one of your squad and the other right before you die (at the beginning and the end of the game if you go that route...).
